  • I eat so much raw food, sprouts, fermented stuff, this and that...and still enjoy red wine or a joint once a month. Raw foods is great experience, red wine as well and the joint very good too. So I say big no no to strict living! But don't forget to meditate once in a while....that's actually the best medicin ;-)

  • looking forward when this happens to me :)

  • UMMM..I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THIS THEN HOMIES. I LOVE MY BEER. I am not an alcy but I still like my buzz=P

  • Have you heard about the radioactive rats that live near Chernobyl? The radiation activates reparative genes that actually reduce its likely hood of developing tumors than in un-radiated rats. In other words, you need some crap in your diet once in a while, otherwise your body will deactivate protective codons, leaving you exposed to any little toxin that comes along.

  • Ok, Your body has clearly shut down its defense mechanisms as a result of your super clean diet. What to you think other toxins are doing once in your body? Probably the same as the alcohol, stays in you and active for multitudes longer than normal.

  • You guys Rawk

  • Drinking will kill your liver, give you acne, and make you fat!

  • @imperfectionKillz So will eating a bunch of tofu.

  • @MindofaJedi Yeah, that stuff is disgusting.

  • The thought of drinking alcohol makes me feel sick. When l started being a raw sproutarian in the 90's l tried a few sips of beer and got really drunk. l could never drink again, my system wouldn't handle it.

  • but will it blend?

  • hah u guys are way cool !!!

good vibes from santa paula !

  • Okay I'm newly raw....and I'm wathing this while drinking vodka.....i'm dreading tomorrow morning! What have I done?????

  • dont forget the flouride in the water

  • Excellent! Thanks xxx

  • Is there anyway I can eat raw food without becoming a hippie?

  • @adamresyk2112 yes i took up shooting when i started LOL

  • @adamresyk2112 of course. go for it

  • @adamresyk2112 Yes, you can eat raw food without becoming a hippie, but you can't become a hippie without smoking pot

  • @adamresyk2112 No, but you can hide ur hippie-self by wearing regular jeans and a nice shirt. And don't forget to cut ur hair.

  • This dude is hilarious.

  • I'm not even 100% raw but have fluctuated 50-80% "raw" for the past year or so. Rarely ever had alcohol more than once/wk if that,& never stomached more than 3 beers in 1 night. Now I can't walk without stumbling around after 1/2 a beer or so. Last week had 1/2 a glass of merlot on two occasions & got sick for the first time since childhood. Other contributing factors were nothing new. My arms felt completely useless and detached from my body after only a couple sips of wine. No thankyou!

  • Great vid! What about the new 'Mead' rage? I haven't tried it yet. Daniel Vitalis & others R talking about Mead. Thank You, Angela & Matt

  • This video makes me want to do a totally raw vegan diet even more.

  • alcohol is totally useless, eliminate all sugar from your diet except fruit, both fermented n raw sugar is useless

  • I 2nd, What about pot? And how old are you dude?

  • elizabeth berkley has really let herself go after saved by the bell

  • lol geez she moved fast when he went to kiss her...ACKWARD..

  • @yummiez he got back at her by bringing up all the dates he use to have to make her jealous, you can see her expression change when he says the word "date" on both occasions

  • I've been experimenting with raw, not 100%, but pretty close, and the other night I had a beer for the first time in a couple of weeks, and ouch! It was not pleasant, my body could feel that is was not good for me. My body was aching when I went to bed. I love beer, and I used to slay the brews. I'd slay a six pack no problem. Well since I've been fixing my diet, I feel great, don't really care to drink any more. I'm a raw noob. Peace

  • Lol That same thing happen to me. I haven't had a drink in a year and the one time I decide to have a drink I got really sick and was in bed for two days ugh!!!

  • Thanks for making this episode guys!! : )

  • don't drink cheap wine

  • wow drunk for 48 hours off 2 sips of wine?? where can i buy that wine at?? lol jk

  • Dude, you guys are such a nice loving couple!

  • i hate the taste of alcohol. Both alcohol and nicotine would be just as illegal as other drugs, if it wasn,t for the vast market value of these things, and how ingrained these substances are into our cultural fabric. Natural high beats any artificial high.

  • ..I don't see my other post, oh well, maybe it will appear in the future..

Alcohol is also very ACIDIC..and as we know an over acidic body is the main cause for all dis-ease. I also think if you want the odd glass of wine, say, every now and again, maybe make your own? But as you point out, the more raw you are, the less you will want this as you really only want the good stuff in your body.

I agree also, cacao is a stimulant and is considered not a good thing to consume at all.

  • Alcohol is a BIG issue with me ! I have been transitioning to raw for a few years now and find I am still craving alcohol, most probably the reason why i have not gone 100% already is because of booze. When you consume alot of booze the LAST think you want is anything raw, salad, etc. You want cooked, stodgy 'comfort' food. I am making a concerted effort now to be 100% raw. I have not had a drink in a few days, and feel GREAT ! I feel now is the right time to go raw completely..gr8 vids!

  • @gingertom29 Hi Tom - I have the same issues with alcohol. I crave it & I get horrendous hangovers even after having only 1 beer! I also crave greasy, unhealthy foods when I drink. I am working on getting off of alcohol completely. Another big issue I face is that everyone around me drinks so I struggle with feeling left out by giving up alcohol. But it is obviously so poisonous to me, so I need to deal with not being able to enjoy a beer with the group. I can order pineapple juice instead. :)

  • @ceruleana1 Hi there

I know exactly how you feel with regards to going out and everyone around you is drinking. Am currently on a 10 day liver cleanse, was in pubs 2 days running at the w'end. The first instance, not so bad, just kept drinking water, the second day was awful, EVERYONE bar a couple out of over 20 + people were drinking. Interesting to observe them once they have had a few, just they all looked so drunk ! Indeed, it is a poison because you really do not what else is in it.

  • @gingertom29 ..apart from fruit and alcohol. There is this big thing with most people, they need to "fit in" (the ego in us), which we have been indoctronated from childhood, NOBODY wants to be perceived as different when you are a kid, and it carries on into adulthood. That is why also so many ppl find it hard to go vegan never mind raw, so it can be a big process. Having a drink with the rest of your buddies means "i am not different, I am accepted, I am like you.."..It can b very hard..

  • @gingertom29 ..I am not finding the food an issue on the detox, the ugly thing that keeps popping up is a desire for a drink..shocking...just goes to show it's not the body that is craving that toxin it's the left brain, why would we actively want something that is not only bad for us, but inhibits our connection to the other realms (like we are suppose to have..)..? Just goes to show how foods and drinks have been tainted so badly...

  • @gingertom29 what connection to the other realms? please explain n tell me where you get this wisedom from?

  • matt you are crackin me up lately.

  • Another great reason to LOVE being raw-NO room for alcohol! Excellent news:) I have religious reasons I've committed to not drinking-but also because my birthmother drank and I have physical deformities (missing vertebra) . I also have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome:( Hasn't slowed me down-but I can see many good reasons to live a healthy life now with my own children. Thanks for sharing and being such a great example to the world of clean living.

  • Thanks for sharing your stories. Inspires me.

I'm about 80% raw vegetable for about 10 months and I am still having terrible coffee cravings.

  • The cleaner the liver, the faster the liver can metabolize the alcohol.....so it's an enigma how such a clean liver could be wasted for two days on two sips of wine. Ever since I went 100% raw 10 months ago, I have had alchohol every couple of months and as time passes, my ability to metabolize it and get it cleared out of my system has speeded up.....BUT....my enjoyment of it has gone down completely. It has no appeal anymore, like you said. Many other things have lost their appeal also.

  • Very interesting... thanks for sharing!!

  • Never drank in my life, never really saw the point of it. If you were naturally raw from the start, and like Matt says here when he had a sip he got sick, it just goes to show that alcohal isn't naturally for the body. Just because hops grows and we process it to make alcohal dont mean its natural for us to drink it. Suppose grapes into wine would fit the same concept.

  • i love being sober :)

  • @vaw1979 Me too!

  • yeahh drink up!.. hillarious!!..lol

  • Somehow I don't beleive that... It hits you much harder if you do it all the time.

  • i'm not totally raw and i really don't have the taste for it like i use to. but when i do drink it hits me a lot harder

  • when i drink alcohol i get that burning indigestion feeling, not so pleasant..

i do make my own wine sometimes, stuffed with medicinal herbs like reishi. schizandra, goji cordiceps,.. you name it. simply because alcohol can extract the healing qualities. it 's really delicious and i don't get the burning from it.

  • i never drink.. but im going to try to make wine out of grumichama cherrys that are going off in the yard. i wont be drinking it but making it for the winos in my family. they are just falling off and you can only eat so many of those.

  • I think thats Ideal to be clean inside as that is what you get from raw lifestyle it makes you sensitive to everything. Its like what David Wolfe had said in one of his seminars, you have to clean out of your intestines, and colon, and when that happens you will become very sensitive to all things other then raw, and natural. This would allow minerals, and any nutrition to be easily absorbed, it also would allow for a fully functioning immune system, which for people on cooked do not have!

  • I was actually drinking a small glass of organic Pinot Grigio just a few moments ago... but I've only been raw for 2-3 weeks. I have noticed that it affects me much more quickly than drinking did before. . we'll see how much longer I'll be able to drink!

  • Thanks for sharing you two cuties!

I still have a glass on vino every now and then... but everything in balance. Been raw for over 4 years. Overall, there is no right or wrong, just choice. : )

  • What r your thoughts on Organic Raw Kambucha....I know it has a small amount of alcohol o.5% alcohol. whoops...somebody just asked =)

  • What about Pot?

  • I am 40 years old and have NEVER drank alcohol. Very glad it is something I dont have to cut out our my life.

  • Beer is a really good rinse for your hair, it adds great body.

  • I've found beer and tequilla has a better effect on a raw diet. wine...I agree not so good.

Mucuna and cacao are my favorite party drugs..haha love it. I would choose Mucuna over any other high and feeling of well being, along with many other herbs .

  • I hear ya about the intense hangovers! It's like the more you clean out the liver the more sensitive it is to toxins.

  • Matta and Angela, what do you you guys think about ayahuasca?

  • I could still drink and Ive been raw for 3 years. I don't like to do it that much but when I do basically I can get wasted a lot easier than most guys, but I'm probably at the same levels as most girls.

  • Everybodies choice of cause, But alchol lowers conscious awareness in my experience, its not about wrong or right! its about what works for our higher well being!

Love the new kitchen by the way! :) x

  • Alcohol and cocao makes me feel ill so I do not use them anymore.

I am not 100% raw but do not eat any processed foods and stick with being vegan.

  • I will not accept doing that in my near location.

  • You guys always look good .

I Love listening to Angela sing . Because I can't. lol

I got a berkey water filter so now I can drink rain water.

    Don't tell Mr. Vitalis

  • processed or manufactured is not 100% raw, is not it?

  • Raw cacao makes you drunk because it's a poison :)

  • herehere, i quit drinking in 92, best thing I've done for my health thus far.

  • Just smoke cannabis.

  • Im 100% percent Raw and drink occasionally.. Raw cacao doesn't do it for me

  • Your hair looks better with the dreds combed out Matt! I have a glass of organic wine now and then. I don't like the way I feel the next morning, kinda hazy and stuffy and headache all the next day on just one glass!.
