I have never been in a situation like Oprah owning networks and having the finance and control of power available she has, she may help many with her charities, large donations etc, but these are tax deductible, meaning she can can set these costs (donations) off against her income, meaning she pays less tax than most of us would earning far less.

shorly even with out large funds, wouldnt it be possible to set up the first VP city with temporary structures and facilities (till larger funds, resourses and donations are aquired) in remote area's, land that no one owns or cares about like the wilderness in canada, switzerland or siberia?

My latest attempt to spread the word of TVP has been to post a petition to the White House "We the People" site asking for them to compel the world to look at a RBE.

Find it here at wh . gov / 2z6 (remove the spaces) as it needs 150 signers before it will be made public and then it needs 25,000 to get reviewed. It is a long shot but I had to try! Please help by signing.

I don't support any stores by buying foods or products that are not sustainable. I don't use a car to get around everyday, I use a bicycle. I don't vote for people who aren't active in greener living. I definitely don't go to walmart for anything. I don't buy pharmaceuticals, I use natures remedies. The answer is also to get more people aware of this direction.. when enough people know.. they will demand this direction... gathering money is difficult, especially from governments that are cutting back ~ not handing out money.. at least where I live.

@firuinthehouse - 2 years is a relatively short time to expect large scale production for such a radical concept of change. There's no stepping from here to there easily/quickly. Building a model city costs a fortune & require more funds & resources then you realize. We're not Disney. We're a grassroots movement. Ridiculing people in TZM that are focusing on relevant education & preparing for technological unemployment serves no value. How long did it take before MLK's dream materialized?

We are a contingent of 500.000, I think that by the time you say: "We are starting a city!" you will receive more donations than expected, and with that started people would get more interested as well, bringing more people to the movment and more donations. Ever year of superior risk adjusted returns would cause ever declining credit constraints. If TVP actually possessed superior algorithms, it would have been the wealthiest organization by the 90s

I have put a decent amount of research into this, but most importantly, I look at the stated ways of getting things done, and compare to what TZM is actually doing. And they don't add up.

Now to TZM. You say they have tested their principles, small scale. Can you please provide some actual examples you are referring to? Just link me or name the search terms I can go for.

Well you haven't told me what you think is sci-fi, so what I say could just be repeating stuff you know.

Maglev - Japan has them.

Postal system - Vacuum tubes, like the maglev.

Resource calculation - Microsoft Excel :P, but actually recording the resources we have, we already do this today on small scale.

Moneyless society - There've been societies documented in history that haven't had the need for money.

I really don't know what you're asking for though.

@christheferal Just to elaborate on resource calculation, I mean that we do this on small scale. Isolated. Companies don't release how much they know about X resource to other competing companies.

Energy - Just wikipedia Geothermal and Google "Distributed Power", basically the same as the Internet, just with cables that transfer higher amounts of power.

And the shitty way that TZM is working is pretty much proof of that. There's a lot of talk about applying the scientific method to what Z does, but they have completely failed to apply any of it to themselves. The whole show is ran by the ideas of J fresco and P Joseph, with little questioning.

I don't know what little questioning you're talking about, I met Jacque to ask him questions, I've researched quite a bit into this. I do agree though that more people should be stepping up - that is what the movies promote, to question things.

Capitalism as it is today is a system that came about from centuries of thinking, trial and error, and inventive solutions. Of course some of it was misguided, selfish etc. But some are solution to making things work, and the level of production (farming, food for instance) has risen greatly when they were discovered.

Similarly, look at native tribes throughout the planet. The customs, norms and generic system of ...

So by social design I mean the interactions between the members of the group. If they are well made, if they conform to how humans naturally work well, then there will be an efficient, working group. If not, it will be what we have today, or even worse, closer to a dystopia. Makes sense?

TZM'ers use the expression "critical mass" as if it means something, but every time I asked what it was I got vague opinions, ranging from an unknown number or percentage of people, to the whole fucking planet. Which would be totalitarian and abusive to no end. Let alone impossible :)

Furthermore WHY do they need the people ? They have 500k already and not doing anything with them. You think they need more?

Openfarmtech made serious progress with 50 people or less. Many other communities have far fewer members and far better tangible results. Right now TZM has just talk and some videos. In half a million you just KNOW skilled people (programmers, engineers etc) just hang out with their main skills wasted.

However, although I am sincere, I lack technical training in any field that would be deemed relevant in TVP... @christheferal It's not about changing the economy, as far as I am concerned, certainly that's not the first step in any plan that's meant to work. It's about getting a stable system to work, exploring what works what doesn't, in real life, not in theory. If other groups can start testing and tuning their systems with 50 people, and TZM cannot do it with half a million, then I think TZM's system is the problem.

This idea that it has to be global BEFORE testing, is absurd I think.
