I'm glad Melody doesn't look like Ariel for 5 reasons:

1.It'd be boring to see two very similar females in one movie

2.Eric is very good-looking and I see no problem there

3.It's obvious she has Ariel's personality so why would she inherit her looks too?She gotta have something from her dad as well

4. It's kinda cliché in Disney that all the princesses look like their mothers,so it's refreshing for once to see one who doesn't

This is one of the only Disney movies I feel that have made an experience that was as good as the original. Looking over a lot of the Disney sequels there are, a lot of them completely sucked to compared to the first movie, and in my opinion, I don't think any surpass the originals, but there are a very few that I believe as just as good as the original, and I believe this one is one of them. The third movie... on the other hand... wasn't that good.

Now they focus on Melody, so Ariel is nowhere near as beautiful. Example; in the song "For a Moment", when Ariel sings "sing the song of the sea to you", notice how screwy she looks, like a kids doodle. ¬¬
