  • I love the air vents. I'm definitely going to take those into account when I finish mine. Thanks for the vid :)

  • @1afrowolf thanks for watching, this barrel design works great. I've found that you may want to put the square holes a little bit higher up (maybe 1 inch higher than I did) so you don't have to dump the ash as often.

  • lmfao.....at your spelling..."use caution WHILST using power tools" !

  • @lluwd Whilst is a perfectly correct English word...

  • @KrankieV2 ha ha ha, english how?? like england? or America...

  • @lluwd it is part of the British dialect. Most of what I read is written in such a dialect, and so that's just how I write.

I even find myself typing "colour" at times...

  • do yourself a favor and get a cutting torch.

  • @seizetheweakened I've actually got one now! :D

I do prefer to use cut off wheels and chisels for this type of thing though. Those Acetylene and Oxygen tanks are expensive to get filled. I try to save the gas for important things, or things i can't cut with grinders and chisels in general. I'm a cheap bastard...

  • do u cuss like that all the time.i dont no of many people who could be around it for very long.u would sound a lot smarter if u clean your mouyh up a little .and u didnt your job

  • @tatorbugist I do cuss that much, and I probably would sound smarter if I didn't. On the contrary, you'd look a hell of a lot smarter in the comments if you knew how to spell and punctuate whilst trying to tell me that i sound stupid. :)

  • @tatorbugist You might also want to note that "shit" is also considered a "cuss" word. I mention that as you seem to be adding it to your comments on other videos. DERP.

  • Warning! Fire is Dangerous. Put any highly flammable material In the barrel

  • @welderboy14 yeah there ya go lol i just put that disclaimer so i didn't violate any adsense rules ^^

  • @KrankieV2 ah i see, Stupid legal Crap

  • Harbor freight tools....use once and broken.

  • @Mlwtca that's just about right lol... sometimes you can use them a few times.. i usually don't buy their shit, generally not worth anyone's time

  • nice burnbarrel ,works well I LIKE "BURN BARRELS" the old sludge is just xtra fuel for the fire,@1:33 bet the grinder was a POS harbor frieght model, i installed a small electric fan on the bottom hole with a 2 foot long metal vent, its turbocharged

  • @daewooparts absolutely correct it was a harbor freight cut off tool. JUNK it is!

thanks for the view and comment :)

  • My neighbor used an old beer keg for his fire pit! looks good

  • @racer4560 Beer Kegs can be made into all sorts of cool stuff. They make great fuel tanks too!

  • "Warning: Fire is dangerous" - That just makes me want to do this MORE!! lol Great vid thumbs up!

  • @SuperKONR go for it haha that's just there so i can keep ads on the video

  • could you make a gasifier barrel?

  • @outdoorsman310 I probbaly could but i'm not going to because i don't have the time and i don't have a use for it. but if you want to build one there are many vids here on YT about wood gasification

  • @outdoorsman310 I think you'd need a barrel within a barrel to make a dual walled barrel.

Make holes (or 1 hole if using a fan blower) at the bottom of the 'sides' of the outer barrel, small holes in the bottom of the sides of the inner barrel, and holes in the top of the 'sides' of the inner barrel. Angled down if possible so the flames 'flamethrower' the fuel and make it burn better.

  • @TimpBizkit i just need to find some empty barrels of the right size

  • Do you have any welding equipment? I don't have any but I'll tell you they work better with a good seal between the inner and outer barrels. Complete airtightness is not a requirement but get it as good as you can.

Air enters the holes at the bottom and travels up the side walls, drawing in smoke from the smaller holes in the burn pot.

The hot air/smoke mix comes out the top holes (and seal flaws) where it blows down into the pot and is ignited. The flames 'flame thrower' the fuel in the pot.

  • what happens if you stack two barrels on top of each other?

  • @outdoorsman310 not sure, I have never done that. I suppose if you cut the holes right you'd just have one giant barrel that burns the same way

  • @KrankieV2 i thought it might have alot of updraft but it would probably be too unstable

  • Good job, I use a Stainless steel Washing machine drum, no need to worry about it rusting away!

  • u saw me do mine, yours looks better

  • wouldnt ash come out of the bottom square holes??? that thing is awesome!!!!

  • @tractorloverforlife9 after burning for a long time yes.. you can put them up a bit higher if you like but the idea is to dump the ash often. it burns much hotter when the ash is dumped

  • is it raining?

  • @sideslide23 not during this video but it has rained since :\.. and it will rain tonight and tomorrow...

  • i need to make one of those

  • you say fuck a LOT haha

  • @Titliest07 Are you just now noticing this? hahahaha!

  • looks like it's good for melting aluminium

  • Pretty awesome Dude!! Ya got yourself a real inferno there!!☺

  • @805ROADKING thanks man :) it's a lot of fun and makes a LOT of heat!

  • looks kool

  • nice

  • That barrel was burning allrite :D

  • @coolbluelights lol ya when the paint burnt off

  • Dude, that's fuckin' bad ass.

  • @BeltDrivenMadness oh yeah. It doesn't take long before the barrel glows red hot. It burns fast and hot. it's awesome haha

  • @KrankieV2 Get it to burn white, I'm going to try this with a coffee can.
