So what happened? and why was he transformed?

I know the bear he killed threatened his otehr brother or something?

Sitka, the older brother, was indirectly killed in a fight with the bear. Kenai (the youngest brother) then went after the bear and killed it in revenge. That's why the spirits come down and why Sitka appears to transform Kenai into a bear--to teach Kenai to see through bears' eyes.

Sitka is an amazing character. I love him--his role in this film is so moving, he seems like such an old soul, so wise and caring and the way he watches over his brothers even in death is just beautiful. "Brother Bear" is an amazing film. Disney just doesn't make 'em like they used to.

well it was done by the bulgarian women chior, but I think it was done in inuit language. At least that's what it said on the extras on the dvd.
