Ray Price, still gives me goose bumps, I lived In Cleveland, Ohio area for over 20 yrs. went to see Ray anytime he was within a 100 miles, even thru snow storms, have all his albums, He's the best Country Singer there is.

Don't you just love all that vibrato in his voice? Johnny Bush was the only one I ever heard that could even come close to it. Wilma Lee Cooper and Stevie Nicks are two other singers I like, just to name a couple,who have a lot of vibrato in their perforformances.

Ray's vibrato and fantastic voice first attracted me in 1966. I have seen him in person at least 40 times and hope to see him many more time in the future. He still dresses impeccably and puts on a concert that gives me goose flesh.

Had the honor to sit and visit with Keith's daughters a few years back when they inducted him into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame in San Marcos Texas. Two Super Ladies! Keith was truly one of the BEST at his trade!

When I fished Bass tournaments in the 90s. The name of my Bassboat was "the other woman" and others across the nation would always honk as they passed by. Always loved this song and singer. Real Honky Tonk

It is great to see that people still remember Ray Price. As much as I love Haggard and Jones, Ray has the greatest voice country music has ever known (sorry Vince).

If Ray had grown up in a different place, he would have been a great operatic tenor.

Back in 1978-79, my wife(Theresa) and I played in a band with the guitar player that's singing harmony with Ray Price. Many a nite we would sit out in the parking lot sharing a bottle and he would talk about the birds that were singing in trees.

This is country music at its absolute best - a heavy 4/4 shuffle; pedal steel; fiddle and Ray on the vocals. It just doesn't get any better than this. How sad that this era in county music has passed and given way to the junk that comes out of Nashville today.
