No! If there was no James Brown, no Jackie Wilson and no Fred Estaire, there would have been no MJ. Without the Temptations (not the Beatles), there would have been no Jackson-5. Elvis influenced the latter part of Michael's solo career (1987 forward), in which MJ's work was comparatively less stellar - and even vastly inferior at points - though still solid. Elvis's influence permeated as much of MJ's image (outfits, etc.) as his performance. The REAL MJ = 1979-1985!
