very nice. do you know if you can mount the motherboard on the sidepanel like that on the PC-V354B Micro Tower also? i think the PC-Q08B is just a little too small, but love those cases:)
Why didn't you put the Noctua fan in the front? You were ready to install it but didn't.
You didn't even mention the fans you used in any of your blog posts, as far as i can tell. Most people building out Mini-ITX PC's have a preference for very low noise, and I'm sure they would be interested in how well the Noctua preforms.
@carletons2007 I did end up with the Noctua fan up front - during the initial install I discovered that the fan holes on the Noctua 140mm fan were actually sized for 120mm mounts. They normally come with adapters but this one came from an unused heatsink and didn't come with the adapters. I ended up installing the Noctua with 4 small black wire ties which worked great. I think there are some shots of the installed fan in video 13 - the photo gallery. They cool this build well - very quiet!
@scooter99tube I did look at the gallery, I must have missed them. It also looked like you could have rotated the fan 45 degrees to line up with the other holes in the metal rather than using wire.
I did figure it was quiet. I recently replaced my system fans with Noctua fans and my system is nearly silent. They cost more, but I don't think I'll ever go with another brand. I was surprised how much noise the stock fan on my Hyper 212+ made!
@TheHugeTuber Check out my Photo gallery in this mini-itx series (#13) - look near the end of that video for some pics. I added a small GT240 but there is room for a much larger 2 slot card
@Benmen776 The Alpine 11 GT may be a bit smaller - but not much. According to the AC website - the 11GT is rated for 75w CPUs while the 11 Pro is rated for 95w CPUs
is the aftermarket cooler and 140mm fan and 620w psu really necessary for a i3 and 2 hdds?
