At a military wedding, there are military men who shoot off guns, representing the man(Or woman's) participation/commitment to the navy. And that line is representing Carrie's character, hearing the bullet, and feeling as if it were shooting through her heart from the emotional pain that she was feeling from the loss of her loved one.

At the funeral of a veteran, they do what is called a 21 gun salute and they shot blanks but it still makes the same noise. They did this at my father's funeral and hearing the last gun shot makes you realize that it is real, so that was just describing how she felt after hearing that.

practiced for a month and it took a year of lessons to get rid of it

you can sing in your head voice for certain songs or parts of songs! i do musial theatre and you do a lot of songs in your head voice and the last "just a dream" part sounds good but most of it should be in your cheast voice but some people dont have the range for that!

head voice isnt for everyone.. It depends on what your voice type is.

If you sing then Mariah Carey lol then you use your head voice if not stick to your chest voice, your head voice will make you sound nasally (:
