You can get the same thing with LiveCut and it was the original stuttering effect for computer set-ups. Sasha talked about using it on Airdrawndagger.
this is correct but just know that on windows, Pd CANNOT recieve midi input, it can only output it. so something like this works fine, since it's just pd -> ableton, but unfortunately i can't get ableton to send midi to pd, to control visuals. anyone who knows a workaround for this, please hit me up!

I use osx built-in iac driver. On a pc you can install MidiYoke.
