  • what the music at 6:34 to 6:40?

  • @morgs2020 The music is from a very old mix a friend of mine did back in the mid 90's. So I can't say for sure who did the original mix. Thanks for watching.

  • @morgs2020 It's Utah Saints - Something Good

  • an 1 hour day makes you a heavy user. an hour is nothing lol

  • Jugar y jugar por Horas es Emocionante

  • Gotta have an AGD! ATTENTION GETTING DEVICE!

  • at 0:55 is that a girl or a boy?! :0

  • i like your video in which your add a good video related to video game testing and marketing and i am like your video and i also like your post and thanks for sharing the views with me.

  • gamerecruitmentdotus

  • its funny cause if u look at games they are completely filled with glitches and bugs like the AI in counter strike XD

  • @Kheperan That was made by house people. Not a real company.

  • nintendo 64 forever

  • thank god there are HD tv's and moniters now. if i ever wanted to do this back then, then my eyes would be mush right now

  • there are generally more code problems then graphical problems or map problems. iv played games SO MANY TIMES where i find scripting bugs

  • 1 Hour god you can't even make it past the toturiels these days i mean i at least put 100hours a week in wow like 15hours a day

  • wtf one our is like the limit fuck you this is gay

  • oh my gawd playing for an hour makes you a heavy user??? whadya call people know who pull of all nighters?!?

  • @sabawshey I agree, heavy users are the type of people who go through <2 six packs of mountain dew a week and need gaming like a junkie needs crack.

  • haha @ kid 5:16, seems just like me at that age.

*sigh* so much bud so little time

  • this video is gay

  • What a sad kid at 9:55, with some crappy parents. This video clip is sorely dated though. All of the games shown here are games I played in middle-school, back in the N64 days. Presently, the gamers of that time have now become the parents and know more than their parents did on the subject. Therefore the marketing field can widen and the ratings will actually mean something and be understood by the adult consumer.

  • lol. i thought that chick with the nose ring was a dude. I hope I don't come across a chick like that when I get hired. and yeh, video game testing can be some boring ass shit, but compared to other jobs, it can definitely be fun. just be prepared to work 100 hours a week playing one level when deadline comes around.

  • Can a teenager do this? Do you have to be like over 18? I really need some money but I'm not ready to have like a full-week job.

  • QA is a full time job, any in house tester will need to have at least an engineering degree and know some programming language.

  • most parents that says that game are pointless and boring is because they did not even try playing. video games are arts. using electronics. games are the ultimate products that can be made on a computer.

you have pictures, videos, interactivity and competition. thats why they are so much popular.

  • the backround soundtrack is a ripoff of need for speed 2. the old one

not underground 2 or hotpursuit 2. just 2

  • Hey there it's actually not a rip off. For the documentary we received licensing approval for the use of image and sound from Electronic Arts video games. Good on your to spot that we used the sound track from Need for Speed.

    Cheers

    Shaky

  • i know cause i made a remix of need for speed soundtrack nfs2. i called it burnout eliminator theme. its a long soundtrack one of my best mix. if you whant to hear let me know so i can e-mail it.unfourtunatly i can't put it on youtube because of the lenght of it. flimsy from nfs 3 is so cool. there is 7 artists that made the soundtrack.

its awesome.just sucks that ea stoped doing their own music.with that new wave of using pop music in games. it all started with nfs underground.

  • check my account im going to put a croped 3:00 min teaser of my remix.

  • Kids and teens play violent video games so they won't have to do the things in real life.

Take for example, grand theft auto. You get to just off buildings and hijack cars all you want in these games, and kids do them in games so they wont kill themselves from jumping off building and get arrested for hijacking.

I plan on living alone, so game testing will get me enough money. If it doesnt, i'll just deliver for papa johns as a second job.

  • i dont approuve your point. when youre young your brain assimilate almost any ideas.thrown at it. thats why you need to be strong psychologically.or either have a very education. just tell your self."in a perfect world how would you educate a child."dont wait for it to happen it won't.

  • why the hell did they focus on kids? Most gamers are in there 20's or 30's, the ones who grew up with atari and nes in the 80's have become the hardcore gamers of today. The avg age is not 8-14 as this video would have you believe. And they focus way too much on nintendo, is that all they like in Canada?

  • Remember when this was made: they're showing clips of N64 and PSOne games, so it's likely somewhere around 1997 or so. That was enough of a time ago that the market was quite different than it is now. And the kids back then have grown up; in 1997 I was 13, and fit in the age range, and now I fit in the 18-34 (or whatever the exact numbers are). I'd say, for the time, it was fairly accurate.

And I think it is in Canada, they made a few references to it.

  • They do talk about Nintendo all the time...

  • Buy me BoneStorm or go to Hell!

  • wat skills and experience do u need to be a game tester?

  • Do you love computer games? If yes then you'll love The Funkeys. Visit them at ubfunkeys [dot] Com

  • " LETS PLAY JET MOTO 2!"

  • This is pretty interesting. With some of the crap that comes out today, it's hard to believe video game testers exist. I wonder what kinda person tested Superman 64 or if the tester of Big Rigs still has a job.

  • You know these people will never get married or ever hold down any serious jobs. Folks, this is the type of crap job you end up doing without a college degree. I'd rather play whatever videogame I want with my 70k/yr salary than make $10/hr as a 28 year old guy living in an apartment with no real job prspects.

  • excuse me!! i plan on geting a college degree and doing this job for a long time for experiance so i can get into the gaming industry. dont knock it till yah try it bub. just becuz it doesnt look hard doesnt mean its for 28 year old losers!!

  • what's wrong with never getting married!!!!!! money's not everything stupid fuck!!!!!!!!! your seem just as shallow as the people you bash!!!!!! materialistic prick!!!!!!!!!

  • those kids are TOOLS. I'd challenge him to a game of SSBM any day.

  • I like the soundtrack on the film. But for god sake the first video game ever made was on a mainframe computer called Space War. From then on it was Computer Space the Magnavox Odyssey then FINALLY Pong. Get your research right. God mainstream media is full of retards.

  • Ha. I appreciate the added info :) I have been called worse. Thanks for the comments!

  • Im sorry what do you expect when you have false information in your film. Video games have been around since 1959. Ralph H. Baer who invented the Magnavox Odyssey died broke hearted because hardly anyone knew that he was the one who designed and built the very first games console.

  • Yeah but people don't really care. they only care about what revolutionized gaming.

  • "who are gamers" lol its like they think were an undiscovered animal or alien

  • Yeah! *****

  • look how the white kids imitate the black kid HAHAHAHAHA it's a hand shake, and embrace, not tackle ling lol

  • Yeah and this job is as hard to get as hollywood director.

  • oh so true so true

  • The reason why the gaming age demographic keeps rising is because the people who played video games as children are still playing them as adults.

  • (4:40) 25% "heavy users" heavy being play 1 hour a day. LOL 1 hour!? most play at minimum 2-3 a day probly more on weekends

  • Hey, yup that was for sure a typo when I voiced the doc and didn't see it until way after post production. The original stat was a miniumum of an hour per day. I would gather that now, almost 8 years later that the stat for heavy gamers would be a much higher hour/day number. Nice catch!

  • Those stats are incorrect. Although it's true that most gamers are male, The age actually spans all the way u p to age 30

  • Yup you are right. When you factor PC gaming in. However, the doc was finished in 199 so the age range has been steadily going up as the first gamer generation gets older. Thanks for your comments.

  • @shakyegg What does PC gaming have to do with the gamers' age? I'm almost 18 and I only play games on Nintendo consoles or Nintendo consoles emulator (rarely). A lot of people are like me. Video game consoles are not only for kids. I love Nintendo and mostly their handhelds. I liked your vid though :)

  • yeah man you know them CANADIANS allways full of lies, and DECIET

    CANADA...THE POOR MANS AMERICA
