  • Even though he's proven quite capable with a 3rd in this race, 3rd in the Grand Prix De Paris, and 4th in the Epsom Derby over 12f. I really believe 10f would bring about quite a bit more stakes success than he's had as of yet for Jan Vermeer. There's no doubt that this son of Montjeu is talented. I really believe his 4yr.old campaign may be Jan Vermeer's break out season. Wouldn't mind seeing him somewhere like York for the Juddmonte International, or Newmarket for the Champion Stakes. JMO.

  • Thanks for posting such an earthy video of the race.

    Zip

  • I'm begging someone? Anyone???? Please load a version of this race onto YouTube where you can actually hear the race being called by the track announcer, and not a room full of spectators. Also, the camera shaking all over the place doesn't help the video quality much either!!!!!!! JMO.

  • You seem to have a case At FIrst Sight!

I would like to hear O'Brien's justification, but then he has got away with team riding and more in the past so don't hold your breath.

Looks like apart from hopefully St Nicholas Abbey his horses are much of a muchness this year.

Background chatter ruins the video BTW

  • @biakeyholedave, Thank for being the one to say that. I didn't want to seem rude. Because I'm certain the postee of this video had good intentions. But between the shaking of the camera, and all the background chatter, one can barely hear the call of the race from the track announcer.

  • Utter disgrace, in my opinion, to see a racehorse treated in the way that At First Sight has been. I think that O'Brien should be taken out and whipped.

The horse comes second in a record-breaking Derby, out again to run another race soon after, and now a week after that, this race.

The Sport of Kings. Sick joke.

And the newspaper, and other, racing commentators ? Not a dickybird.

  • @amclpreston here we go another animal rights activist, these top class horses are looked after better than people, you have no clue what happens at the stable, he probably didnt do a bit of work at home in between races and probably wont be seen again this year or even ever. just stay to making up any excuse you can find to criticise ever animal sport you can. you prove why the majority and it is a majority of real race fans cant stand your type of bs comments. go after real abusers of horses.

  • @green1773

Think you've missed my point, and no I'm not particularly an animal rights activist. And nor do I bet. I like to watch good racing, with horses running at their best.

If a horse is given 3 hard races in 3 weeks, in my view it very probably isn't going to be at its best.

The first , second and third home had had a 3 weeks gap since their last races.
