I just bought this camera for paintball. Can it take i direct hit, and if so how hard is it to clean. Also do you wrap the camera in plastic when you play. thanks!
@krazymunky Yes and no, if you use a standard marker setup, I wouldnt mount on the right side, since you will mostly see the loader and not where you are shooting,
But if you use a warpfeed setup (by removing the loader from the top of the marker), mounting the camera on the right side is the best choice...
@paintborg Just a matter of taste, mate! :) The memory indicator is supposely to light red when its low, but when me and Preben played yesterday we were using 16GB memory cards and we used about 8-9GB, each, and still it indicated as red. But I will check this further in the future!
The mic also picks up a lot of wind sound, especially when you run or cycle/ski. I noticed that it seems to miss anything said further than a few metres away.
@tdwp3 Well, if you start recording just a few seconds before a game starts and stop a few seconds after it, that sound can easily be edited out. At least that's how I tend to do it with my Contour-HD. :-)
The camera can endure hits for ages, thats why I love my cam. Its not hard to clean and I dont wrap plastics around my cam :)

Can this camera take direct paintball shots, even in the lens? Also do you reckon you could mount that camera on a small mask such as the Dye i4?

What brand/model of glue did you use?
On which side of the mask do you prefer to mount your camera?
bchamorro 1 year ago
@bchamorro Cant remember the brand of the glue, but its a silicone adhesive, very strong and flexible.
I prefer to have the cam on the left side on my mask, since Im right handed

@jon2511
if youre right handed wouldnt you want to mount it on the right side ?

And yeah, Mass Effect rocks, love that game!

@jon2511 You gonna do any videos in the 1080p setting? I'd be interested in seeing both, as a comparison in an actual game. Maybe half and half?
Rorako 1 year ago
@Rorako If you check my Stavanger tourney vids, they are filmed in 1080p :)

looks like a good, decent, small HD cam, i don't really like wide angle lens, but that's not too bad...
one other question... how does the memory space indicator works? how do you know how much free space you have left?

@walthanas Thanks! I can inmagine the mic will pick up alot of wind noise.
If the sound becomes a problem, I might mod this cam, so I can fit a mini jack socket in it or something, but there is no rush :)
