I love this game so much. I have played it through years and I just installed it again. I play it from time to time because this game is just amazing, the hours you spend on diplomacy mode, I love it so damn match, making alliance and then betraying them and then blowing their cities up, I love this game.

few days ago i chose the indians civilizations they are the best ad most of the buildings are cheap i won nations in tough mode with survival of the fittest without cheats also in 2 teams mode no diplomacy allowed i won with the indian i advice everyone to use the indians their buildings never change in cost ucan build barracks bases everywhere cause they re cheap hahahaa my system was socialisim with free elections

@Danielson183 Select a group of troops and hold the right mouse button and move the mouse to adjust the direction they will face. Oh to enable more advanced troop positions make sure you go to the options menu and enable 'advanced options'.

I played the colonial power map on tough, enlightment age. Held 90% of the colony island(without my start position at the main land) and still got beaten by two AI opponents. My Advise : just turn it on Easy and you will have the most Fun :)

Absolutely loved the whole RoN series. Still play it to this day =D

Only one problem with it though, and that's the fact that the troops never stay in formation. Now, this can be a pain in the arse when trying to take a city strategically, but it's TORTUROUS if, like me, you have OCD...

i dont own this game but it looks good yet one aspect bugs me, it seems unrealistic in a historicalish sense in the way that in the new world campaign when the indians walked into that town they went in a full grid of troops in a roman style phalanx (i think thats the word?) where theyre orderly but werent indians masters of guerrilla warfare? not orderly? gimme some responses with what you think

if you play as Germans. you should try to avoid the fate that would doom you in the first world war. (well it has some dire consequences. if you choose not to support Austria. you may avoid face-offs against Franco-British alliance. but you will be thrown into border dispuites (or some sort of penalty to make the decision worths)
