Yeah, there is a magical app that mixes like every chat service you could imagine. Unfortunately for most, it's Mac only, as all the best software seems to be (I find). It's called Adium. I've been using it for years, and it's great.

haha, very funny.....its alright, i take it as ur knowledge is limited to simply gaming related....but fyi, i have many computers at home, some i built myself, a few that are really high end and i have many computers at work that are really high performance (they r for animation and graphics)...the fact that windows live does not work is not because of my laptops performance, but some trivial thing, i got the messenger to work, but i wanted to see some intelligent guesses here, not random stuff.

I found it interesting that my computers rating skyrocketed under Windows 7 compared to Vista Premium. I have to keep saying that there is a powerful XP feel in terms of how everyone wanted the last of the XP systems when they gave up on Vista. Windows 7 has that speed and versatility BUT with many of the impressive graphics features of an evolved operating system. I have not tried Messenger though I think I will. I just had too many people I didn't know too well interrupting my writing.

I have numerous software installed on my computer and windows live messenger is the only *********'in one that either does not start or if it does decide to start it freezes to death!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAH...made me angry at first but now I am like what the hell!!!....i might post a video of it freezzing as a response to this video if I feel like messenger is worth my time!

Vista isn't bad, it's just assumes by default that your computer can handle the maximum amount of memory wasting features, which is a flaw, but easily solved. Just tone some of these down and there's usually no problems. 1.6Ghz and Vista Premium isn't really a good combination to begin with, but try turning off the side bar, and Aero, and if necessary making Messenger start manually rather than on boot as problems I've experienced with it involve it trying to run as soon as you log onto Windows.

actually you are wrong on this, i know 1.6Ghz is a lil less but everything else works perfect..no issues at all......infact i used to have the older version of msn messenger and it worked great. Its this live messenger that has issues. I even turned off all the extra gui stuff just to see if live messenger would work, but no, it doesn't.

You mean the "windows messenger" that's basically just Live messenger without the GUI or nudges/winks/audio transfers...? Well I don't know then, I got the newest version of Windows Live working just last week on a netbook, without any upgrades or anything. I guess if Yahoo messenger 9.0 has no problems then there's no reason to bother with Windows Live, since it works over multiple protocols.

I prefer WLM 8.1 because it seems to look more organized than WLM 9.5. Plus I couldn't uninstall it and it totally messed my pc up. Guess what I had to do.... a system restore. Thumbs down.
