  • when it comes to optical and HF infra red. Bigger is better, This scope is some kind of cassegrain/ newtonian hybrid thing. And this one like the kek scopes (i think thats the right contraction) have the ability to warp their primary mirrors, in response to a focasing laser, to weed out atmospheric distortions thus giving super sharp pictures.

  • @twirlingchair No. LHC was built by CERN. E-ELT will be built by ESO (European Southern Observatory). It's called European [Southern] Observatory becasue all its telescope are in Southern Hemisphere.
