I suggest getting in touch with Petsmart (via email, letter and/or phone) and letting them know that you will not shop at their stores as long as they sell animals. you can go to PETA's website and print off or order Petsmart Cruelty leaflets and distribute them at your local Petsmart, or you could hold a protest (contact PETA for posters/supplies, they can get you in touch with local activists)

You know i worked at Petsmart for about half a year. They would have more animals in the sick room then actually out on the floor. Banfield is horrible and don't know what they are doing. Even the other employees i saw just dont give a shit about the animals. It's sad that people so ignorant about animals work in the pet stores that you buy from.

animal neglect is actually very typical of petco and petsmart, but its not just the cute/furry animals that are suffering, i went into one of their stores today and saw that the reptiles and their enclosures were in unacceptable conditions, the reptiles had no heat source whatsoever "which is crucial for there survival" cages were at 65 degrees, which is way below the corrects temps, cages were full of feces, no clean water, absolutely unacceptable.

look for a reputable rescue shelter. They will have dogs, cats, birds, other small animals and even the tiny ones such as hamsters sometimes, and that way you know your'e giving an animal that's had a really bad start a new chance and a loving home.

I went to Wal-Mart a year ago and saw dead fish that were being eaten by the other fish(they got rid of the fish in Wal-Mart).In Florida at a surf shop I saw a wire cage filled with all different sizes of hermit crabs.Ones that were big as a fist and ones that were as big as a thimble. I went to PetLand years ago and saw dead hermit crabs with no humidity. I went to PetSmart and saw three female gerbils with matted fur,sad eyes and were very inactive,in the crab cage there was no humidity.

Always Handled them Wrong, and Gave wrong information on how to care for them.

...I can't watch any more...I'm an animal rights activist and while I know how bad things are it still makes me cry every time I see something like this. I wish that the people who treat animals like that-or any other living thing for that matter- would receive the same treatment they put those poor animals through.

That video made me sick to my stomach and gave me nightmares.I can't believe some people don't have a heart.I would not be surprised if Petco does it,too.Not to long ago a bought some feeder rats for my ball python and a few days later my son's snake through them up.A nother few days later the snake was dead.That could explain why.Just look at how they keep those animals.I hope and pray to God that those people will pay for it.Thank you for making this video and letting us know whats going on.

I just put an application to PetKILL I mean PETSMART and I am thinking about reconsidering.
Extensive Background checks need to be done for cruelty to animals and the SPCA or whoever needs to be notified. Animals are not guilty but innocent

I went to Wal-Mart a year ago and saw dead fish that were being eaten by the other fish(they got rid of the fish in Wal-Mart).In Florida at a surf shop I saw a wire cage filled with all different sizes of hermit crabs.Ones that were big as a fist and ones that were as big as a thimble. I went to PetLand years ago and saw dead hermit crabs with no humidity. I went to PetSmart and saw three female gerbils with matted fur,sad eyes and were very inactive,in the crab cage there was no humidity.

i hate how people say "help" but i mean what the hell are we supposed to do. we know we can help but they don't tell us how. next time i go into petsmart im wearing something that says "petsmart kills, buy from shelters" because most shelters do sell rabbits and ferrets and sometimes birds. please go there and purchase your pets.
