I absolutely like this version, your unnecessary modesty makes it even more chill. Did somebody mention a flat E? if it were, why did it sounded so great as a whole without a problem? perhaps it was part of the awesomeness that makes blues so easy to love but hard to do right? :) great stuff!
I love it. Beautiful guitar, great to play, wonderful sound. I played about 50 diff guitars at similar price ranges when I bought it and this was my fave.
wicked man , if you class that as feeble then may all my feeble attempts be like that, one of the best covers of crossraods ive heard and theres not many out there
people who've openly admitted not being able to pull off johnsons sound include hendrix, clapton and peter green so i wouldn't worry about that! you're right - you sound nothing like johnson. you sound like you, and you my friend sound fucking coooool. great playing, great voice. one of the best covers of this song i've heard anywhere. (and that's a lot!) keep up the good work and keep posting. you made me totally rethink how i play this! feel a little sheepish at my own lack of originality.
For the vocals the 12 would have been a touch better... you are really good with the feeling you put in to the intro, bridge and outtro. Real "porch" kinda foot-tappin' feeling to it. Remember "Walking Tempo" too... Walking, you are going down to Rosedale.
You say feeble attempt at a cover, but this is damn good, bro. It doesn't sound like the original, but that's why the blues is so amazing. As long as you put all you got into it, it generally sounds good.
Cool pickin, good voice. I have a habit of stickin my pick in my mouth between songs and when fingerpickin, and was sittin here watchin your vid with my pick in my mouth and you did the same thing! kinda funny! great job on the song!
Siiiick! Dont mind the E string going off the fret board, just a minor mistake that everybody makes! Great job, and if you dont mind my asking, do you think you could tab that?
Thanks for all your comments. The low E comment was correct....a bit flat. Fairly new set of strings and some low E bends happened before the recording and I didn't catch it. My bad :(
I have changed(improved) this version some since this vid and have considered making a "how to play it" video for blues-enthusiasts but that's a lot of work....
fu*kin awesome!

Awesome cover ! (remember a cover must NOT sound like the original, it's not meant to be a carbon copy ;))
Don't worry about making a tutorial, the camera angle is good enough to figure the whole thing out already.
