I like this version by Carpenters live in 1972 Australia much better than 1965 walker brothers UK top chart, and latter Dionne Warwick 1980.now Actually im listening latter version mainly inspired by this Carpenters 1972, which is Jazz Performer Chris McNulty in 2006.
You just don't see this talent, or perfection in music at all anymore, there were no autotuners, or background tapes, this was live, raw talent. Miss you Karen!
Heavens to Mugatroid! Until today I had NO idea The Carpenters had ever performed this classic 60's song. One of my fave tunes from that decade! A perfect number for the perfect voice of the late great Karen! I love her voice so VERY much. And miss her talents so much. Her early death was one of show biz's greatest tragedies. I second that emotion! Her angelic voice has ALWAYS sent shivers down my spine! I miss her & her talent so very much. One of the loveliest voices show biz EVER saw! Wow! What talent. I watch today performers and there is just no comparison. Karen, Richard, and the band are clearly in a class by themselves. I miss Karen so much. Thanks for posting this it is excellent.
