I wonder if Conor ever completed his to do list of Learning spanish and reading music. I'd guess he hasn't. People are usually driven to do things either due to boredom or desperation. I doubt that he's often either of those things long enough to take on a project as ambitious as learning a new language. The guy is amazing enough though, simply as he is.

My god, I hadn't heard this song in over nine years -- back when it was fresh and the Saddle Creek record folks let you download MP3 sampler CDs. Only song I remember enjoying during this incarnation of Conor's career. At 12 I had to have been sharing the same sentiment: "I want to pledge allegiance to the country where I live. I don't want to be ashamed to be American. " Iraq invasion had only just begun. One month in. Remember listening to Anti-Flag's "MOBILIZE" album a lot around then, too.
