if you vent your dehumidifier into your bathroom vent, what will stop the humidity form the dehumidifier exiting back into the bathroom when the fan is not on ?

@karma8chic Modern homes are built with plastic PVC for sewer drains as a opposed to metal piping.

Where did you tie in the vent pipe?

This particular basement had radiant heating in the slab as well as a sewer main at aproximately 30 inches above the finished floor heaight of the basement so sawcutting of the floor and gravity sanitary waste were not options. If the sewer main was below the finished grade of the floor than I would expect the costs of saw cutting and patching to be about the same as a grinder. Hope this helps.

how expensive is this system compared to cutting up the slab and installing pipes underground? I really like the fact you don't need to cut up the floor.
