Lol oh people. People these days treat abs like a completely different muscle. "DO 1 BILLION SIT UPS A DAY AND YOU'LL GET ABS" ...WRONG abdominals is just like any other muscle. Would you do 100 bicep curls every day ? Didn't think so. You need a good formulated diet plan, but remember don't starve yourself. Give what you'r body needs. Eat small meals througout the day. And do ab routine that works for you. I recommend P4P. And intense cardio. and/or weight lifting. (Squats, bench press,). :)
Hey your probably not going to read this, but i know at least one of you will. Iv'e been inspired to make health and fitness videos and i want to spread the word about it. Would you please take a second to view my channel and tell me what you think about the video. Thanks guys
@kenan7q thats reely good! but i would try doin different types, like twists, and 180 sit ups and shit like that to get obliques, upper, mid and lower abs all in one.
easiest way to get six pack abs is to do heavy compound lifting, burns a shit load of calories. For example, deadlifting, benchpress/ dumbell chest press, squats, rows, ect. Usually ill do that and get some intense cardio in after i go to my 2 hour swim practice
@death4351 Yes, I agree to add intense cardio. Yet, I was already skinny with little fat, so all i needed was to just cut my muscles and I did it in 58 day with an intense ab workout...Just to see if it was possible
@Ahhapictures Studies will show that while adding intense cardio or even HIIT will burn body fat....it is NOT muscle sparing. So... if you want to shed weight, and burn body fat, but keep as much muscle possible per pound bodyweight lost of body fat....cardio is NOT the key. It is diet, and diet alone. If you have questions, feel free to ask. I'd be glad to help.
@death4351 Minus the cardio.... that doesn't spare muscle at all. Cardio is purely catabolic. If you do cardio to burn body fat...why would your body ignore muscle? It doesn't. SOME muscle will be lost per pound of body weight lost in fat. If you are losing 1 lb of fat for 1 lb of muscle....that is not effective. A good rule rate at which to lose muscle when cutting is 3 lbs of fat per 1 lb of muscle mass...but most people just think shedding as fast as possible is the key.
@ebishop1102 well thats obvious, but im just saying the best ways to get and stay lean is to do heavy lifting with some cardio to help your heart, obviously you have to eat correctly to reduce muscle loss, but when your like me, you eat a shit load. I eat at least 4000-5000 calories a day due to my exercising every day, lifting mon, weds, friday while swimming every single day of the week for 2 hours
To get a 6 pack... The EASY way... Change your diet so that you're eating a high % of protein and cut out all the junk and saturated fats (keep the good fats and moderate carbs)... Do cardio activity and muscular endurance exercises (doesnt matter which ones, as long as youre burning off calories)... Once you get your body fat percentage to around 10%, abs will start to show, during this time, you could be doing 100 crunches per day, 5 sets of 20 reps with GOOD FORM in a 2-0-2 tempo :)
its got fantastic information on fitness, body building, the role of genetics in body building, and much more. I love the site cause its not just about building muscle but also about staying in shape.
even has a workout builder that takes into consideration your weaknesses, strengths, injuries, and gives a custom guideline workout.
i used to make 800 WRONG situps each day... some people may think that's it's retarded but in the end i got a sixpack.... there's faggots that think that only theory makes them succeed... just start training.. no matter if there's a few mistakes
First at all you wont gain a six-pack if u make 420 reps, waaay better to do lower reps with either weight or other form for exercises, as Dragon Flyes. Would give you better results.
And to be honest I would say you was more gained before you started..
Why 420 sit ups ? You could do 8-12 extremely hard sit ups and gain a lot of more muscles. Doing 420 sit ups just makes your muscles tired and that's all. You should over overload them using a lot of weights. It's been proven through surveys.
1. Sit ups are dangerous to do as sitting all the way up you actually put more strain on your lower back, I'm suprised you didn't blow out your back (Crunches force better contraction for the abs and don't risk injury). 2. The reason you din't make any gains was because you didn't do any lower abdominal, oblique or posterior chain work which would probably make you look better & 3. You're skinny as hell you gotta worry about the fact you're so small before trying to worry about abs!
@ImoTheImmortalFissh If you really think that's the case, you are an idiot. What lies under belly fat? Smooth Muscle? Give me a break...everyone has a six pack, it's pure anatomy! What most people have is subcutaneous fat over it....if you do crunches, you will have strong abs under fat.
Doing crunches doesn't "spot reduce" fat off of an area...you need to diet, and when you have your six pack, THEN train it effectively with major compound movements like squats, deads, etc, and THEN crunches
@ImoTheImmortalFissh Anyone who has done successful bodybuilding, dieting, or generally watches what they eat, knows this...
I do ZERO crunches and resort to the muscle recruitment of squats, hack squats, deadlifts, bench press, and so on and so forth to train my core, including my abdominals. Everything else is diet, proper nutrition, and effective training. I don't even do cardio either because you burn more muscle after a training session than you would by just doing a megaset workout
@Baznaz92 Listen up you fucking retard. I have a BS in Exercise Science, a minor in Biology, and certifications in ACSM Certified Health Specialist and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, bodybuilding 3 years, fitness training 9 years, and growing.
If there is anyone who knows more about this kind of stuff than these people on youtube, it'd be me.
It is GOOD to do abdominal exercises to build up the abdominal muscles through isolation exercises. Major exercises
@Baznaz92 recruit all the muscles fibers within the core and abdominals well as a whole, but not isolating any which one. If you want to have a lean six pack with all the cuts, you need to have a strict diet. Period. If you want to have a STRONG six pack that can do more than just look aesthetically inclined, and more "bulk" to the area, then do your crunches + diet.
@Baznaz92 Cardio is great for your heart and blood circulation, and removing immediate lactate from the muscle after a workout or to help relieve DOMS from a prior workout a few days before.
Cardio does NOT build muscle. The purpose of cardio is to burn fat...carbs...whatever someone is doing based on the intensity...you don't "bulk up" from doing cardio. Do you ever see a 250 lb cyclist or a 300 lb runner? No. Cardio is a purely catabolic activity.
@crazystarf I do Zero cardio but I do circuit training of major muscle groups. I train my core by doing large megasets of compound exercises. If you know how to knock out two birds with one stone, why waste your time doing what everyone else is doing, and find a competitive advantage the RIGHT way?
@EricB042389 Circuit training can be classified as cardio (maybe). There were times where I was training durimg MMA classes and stuff and the first thing we did was circuit training in order to improve cardio
@crazystarf Yeah... cardio when you are supersetting leg press with walking lunges..... reverse bench press with deadlift.....or a culmination of other exercises chained together with a heavy load.... It's circuit strength-training.....keep the heart rate up like cardio buth gain the benefits of strength training by working with heavy weight exhausting different muscle groups simultaneously.
@Choice777 Are you a fucking moron? It's about quality and quantity of calories you eat. You need to have a set amount of calories to consume a day that spares muscle when cutting but still covers biological function and your metabolic rate. And then you need to make sure OF those calories you eat, that the majority of it is in protein for low-carb dieting OR high essential fat intake for a Cyclic Ketogenic Diet. Both of which are highly successful when coupled with training.
@ebishop1102 listen you little retard. the point of this vidoe was that this guy didt a lot of repetitions. now you other retard sayd it's all about the food and not the exercise. BUSHIT. As long as you eat normal fod, with no excesses and do a lot of exercise you will get good results..in the end results are measured in pain. how much pain you had to endure..not how mush fish or fullgrain or soia this or soia that or atkins this or atkins that..it's all bullshit in the end.. PAIN improves.
@Choice777 You are a fucking meat head. When I finish this competition Saturday, I will post my results, and I'll be sure to tag it to you, and THEN you tell me who is right and wrong. Not so much a retard; I finished top of my class for a Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Science, been lifting 9 years, bodybuilding 2, ACSM HFS certified, and a bunch of other things I really don't want to list...point being, I know what I am talking about because I practice it, research it, and can back it up.
@Choice777 I eat 3,000 calories a day, train every day for 45 minutes to 1 hour (leg days). I have been doing that for months preparing for bodybuilding competition. I have striations in my ass, a six pack with vascularity going from cock up to belly button, and muscle separation cut into each muscle from years of hard work. I'd say I know what I am doing by eating the right macronutrients and the right training...all without a single day of direct abdominal crunching or training.
Various type of sit ups, combined with died and other work out(other muscles) WILL give you 6 pack. Some of you that claim that sits can't give you 6 pack, have no clue what you are talking about. However, to get better results you have to have days off for your muscles to repair, otherwise u will actually lose muscle if you work out every day.Of of the keys is to do various types of sits, not just regular, with those you only work upper abs.For lower(under belly) it takes more.
he looks the same because just doing sit ups will not get you six pack abs you have to continually burn calries after you work out "afterburn affect" to get six pack abs
man that does'nt help you do the six pack workout from passion4proffesions and it will make your abs burning! and only 8 min workout but that made me see really good changes in 3 weeks! i think you can get a six pack there if u do it like 3 months or more
what a dumb idea. would you work out your arms everyday? abs are just another muscle, u cant work it like that..there should be a rest day in between to allow your muscles to repair...i hope your abs fall off
This is Some pretty Goofy ass shit , anyone who knows basic fitness will tell you sit-ups alone wont get you a six-pack....Cardio, diet ,working back as well as core training is needed.
@JOHNEY101 No, I did not take any supplements...I just cut back on eating a bit....cut out snakes and greasy fried foods..I ate yogurt for the protein.
@gogeunger Glad you are inspired. I hope your workout plans works..At least your going to give it a good try..that is the only way to find what works for you..Good luck on your mini boot camp workout
You're an idiot. If you just do sit-ups you'll only build muscles under your belly fat. So for people who do have belly fat and aren't little skinny dudes like you, this won't work. ;P
@Filbob21 Mostly I did them with in a hr, while watching tv and taking a few breaks. I got used to doing them. My problem now is I stopped doing them and lost my abs again, but it was only a challenge to see if it was possible and I met my challenge for myself.
just doing flat out sit-ups don't work. in fact doing 420 sit-ups a day can cause damage to your abs (you will never have normal looking abs again). Believe me about two years ago i did 200 sit-ups a day. After for a couple of weeks of doing this I realized that instead of have more transperant abs, I would look the same, and my abs would acke forh days. Later I learned that i was doing more harm than good for my abs. instead do special ab exercises once a week. believe me... it works.
@9MAGGOT4LIFE I was testing my own personal level and challenges. I like to know my own human limits. I also did gymnastics for 8 yrs..I know how to push myself way beyond the comfort level.
that is so shit it dose not show him doing anything how do we no he is not just saying he dose 420 a day and already had a 6 pack i dont think it is true to be honest

wait, what if I add weights so I do 3 sets and 9 rep sit ups for example?
the 420 might be good for burning fat right? and the low rep is good for building muscles?
will stomach muscles be even bigger that way or?

ItsTheJahJah 11 months ago
what a dumb idea. would you work out your arms everyday? abs are just another muscle, u cant work it like that..there should be a rest day in between to allow your muscles to repair...i hope your abs fall off

@Jacksonjames4 lmao i give you an oscar for best comment, specially the last sentence cracked me up hehehehe
projektbrot 10 months ago
This is Some pretty Goofy ass shit , anyone who knows basic fitness will tell you sit-ups alone wont get you a six-pack....Cardio, diet ,working back as well as core training is needed.
labellegiugliani90 11 months ago
@labellegiugliani90 Well, situps won't get you abs. Period.
10,000 situps to burn 3500 cals (one pound) isn't a really good trade, lol.

Ahhapictures 1 year ago
one question did u do take any supplements i might try this
JOHNEY101 1 year ago
@JOHNEY101 No, I did not take any supplements...I just cut back on eating a bit....cut out snakes and greasy fried foods..I ate yogurt for the protein.
Ahhapictures 1 year ago
@Ahhapictures did u do it 58 days straight??? no rest?
JOHNEY101 1 year ago
@JOHNEY101 I may have skipped a few days in between...
Ahhapictures 1 year ago
why not rest for a day between the sit ups.. so u can give u muscles a chance to buildup
gogeunger 1 year ago
@gogeunger I did not rest, because I was on my own mini boot challege..I wanted to see how far I could go without a break.
Ahhapictures 1 year ago
@Ahhapictures ok you inspired me to improve my sixpack.
I am going to take 400 situps every 72 hours.. for the next 5 months its free hanging sit ups with no support when stretched on a stat iv..
in addition ill add 1 hour of skeemacine after i run 3 miles. every other day
cuz the fatloss is the only way one can see belly muscles.. and fat loss can be obtained by any cardio training..
+ i buildup my stomach muscles by resting 72 hours
gogeunger 1 year ago
@gogeunger Glad you are inspired. I hope your workout plans works..At least your going to give it a good try..that is the only way to find what works for you..Good luck on your mini boot camp workout
Ahhapictures 1 year ago
@gogeunger Just watch your diet. No amount of crunches will make you lose belly fat.
EricB042389 7 months ago
@EricB042389 True!!! ;)

I know a guy who did sit-ups for 30 hours straight trying to beat a world record. He finished with like 32,000 but didn't beat the record.

unleasheth 1 year ago
sorry dude but situps are good only for loosing masive weight . you just need more crunches . After all thos situps you are still looking the same
nevermoRew 1 year ago
Kuzz he probaly didnt do any cardio duh! and its not that hard to get 'musckles'!?
cloeful94 1 year ago
@cloeful94 -_- For the dude to really get ripped he would have to:
1.Stop the useless sit-ups, obviously they didn't do anything.
2.More cardio, needs to burn the little fat he has.
3.Eat right, lots of protein. Needs to eat less calories than he burns.
4.Lift weights more to build more muscle which will increase his metabolism which will burn off the little body fat hiding his muscles.
If he just does sit-ups nothing will change and the video proves it. >:l
27Offspring27 1 year ago
You're an idiot. If you just do sit-ups you'll only build muscles under your belly fat. So for people who do have belly fat and aren't little skinny dudes like you, this won't work. ;P
27Offspring27 1 year ago
You should hit a gym and work on ur upper body
LuisDax08 1 year ago
@LuisDax08 your not kidding. I would like to have a bigger upper body..it is just so much work.

did you do all 420 situps in a row or spread over the day`?
Filbob21 1 year ago
@Filbob21 Mostly I did them with in a hr, while watching tv and taking a few breaks. I got used to doing them. My problem now is I stopped doing them and lost my abs again, but it was only a challenge to see if it was possible and I met my challenge for myself.
Ahhapictures 1 year ago
Start eating a bit more than usually and you'll reach many more goals! :)

@Danee15 ok, I need to train my arms
Ahhapictures 1 year ago
just doing flat out sit-ups don't work. in fact doing 420 sit-ups a day can cause damage to your abs (you will never have normal looking abs again). Believe me about two years ago i did 200 sit-ups a day. After for a couple of weeks of doing this I realized that instead of have more transperant abs, I would look the same, and my abs would acke forh days. Later I learned that i was doing more harm than good for my abs. instead do special ab exercises once a week. believe me... it works.
