giving advice to people who will put it into practice is always worth it. a few days ago i pointed out a few mistakes in a mage guide made by a swifty-friend who actually is a 1300 rated mage and his fanboys would flame me for being a noob since that 40k subscribers- dude who cant break 1400 must be right lol.

however, to all you other guys, this project is not about pros going for glad, they're evolving their play and therefor need to share their views in order to be critizised. should be aight

shattered barrier is bad talent, it shares a DR with your more powerful novas but it doesnt last long enough for you to really do anything, and if you time all of your novas correctly kiting will be no problem without it.

What does that have to do with me playing my class effectively? If you did research you don't need crit as a mage right now. You stack mastery. Shatters are guaranteed crits, you take your base crit chance, and multiply that by 3, thats 70%+ chance to crit on a frozen target. There is absolutely no need to stack crit, when I get more benefit out of mastery, harder hits = more pressure.

as you said you also want to be told about mistakes on your part:

-you aren't hit capped though you say this is essential (which it is indeed)

-shattered barrier DR's with improved cone of cold, thus harms you more than it helps by wasting freeze DRs which you actually want to save for when you can combo-cc against dispellers.

apart from that, I'll have to agree on Rookiey's point that certainly everyone's waiting for arena footage and progress.

@Almlacher forgot to mention that you should go 3/3 piercing ice and 1/3 enduring winter instead. as you posted litterally the same second as I did, screw the part about the progress footage ;)
