  • myarica robua what ever lol

  • @TheFinalRest Myrmica rubra haha! That species is called a semi-claustral founding process. Most ant species have queens that live off fat stores til first workers and let the workers get all the food and stuff. Those are called claustral. Semi-claustral queens actually go out hunting during the founding process, instead of living off fat she goes and kills. So even after first workers the queen can still be fiesty and actually help the workers take down prey.

  • What does it mean when your red ant queen keep's coming out of the tunnels onto surface when shes got workers?

  • @TheFinalRest What species is she? It could be a variety of reasons based on what species she is.

  • Why did every1 stop making this kind of videos :(

  • @UndeadRussianLord Of ants in general? Or of ants feeding?

  • @UndeadRussianLord ants in general ofcourse :'(

  • @PreppyPoser1 Thanks again!

  • How well do they fight other ant do you know?

  • my queens eggs just hatched about a 2days ago and there is 5 workers now. i was wondering when i should feed them?

  • @GOLDROCK420 Feed them when the workers are their full color or even before. Right when the workers are walking around you can feed them. For their first meal you should give them some honey/sugarwater to help them gain energy. Then after they are all full of the honey (when they are all inflated with honey and they stop eating it.) You can then add insects. Its best to freeze them overnight to kill any parasites that might hurt the ants. Do you know what species you have?

  • @robomantis umm i think its a lasius niger

  • how long have you been keeping the queen in that tube?

  • @kaioh6 If you watch my newer videos you will see that i have moved her into bigger setups. She was started in the tube. Within the next week or two they are going inot an even bigger nest.

  • Neat, Robomantis! :)

  • Thanks!!!

  • what have you been feeding her?

  • In the picture she was being fed honey. But i have also fed her my protein food. Check out my other video on how to make ant food. Thats what i fed her. She was just taken out of hybernation so it should trigger her to lay some eggs for me!
