While I completely agree that confidence and truth are important to the overall positive change in the world, and many of gay teens have supportive and loving people in their life who'd be very receptive to that news, I think they have to take a cold hard look at those people before coming out. Because for a lot of gay teens, unfortunetly, coming out while still in highschool isn't always the safest choice; whether that be just with close family and friends, or to their whole school.
