Immortal song! The Hollies were a so great band! Love this LIVE performance! and the superb lead singer Allan Clarke! By the way Allan is so gorgeous in this video and rocks!
I was originally really pissed off with Graham Nash for splitting from the Hollies,but it didn't take very long to forgive him, when I realised the contribution he was about to make with CSNY !!
Very talented as performers and composers. I remember walking into a lounge at the Holiday Inn in Cheektowaga, New York in 1972 to listen to my brother's band - The Better Way. Sitting at a table listening were the Hollies. My brother sat with them during breaks. The girl singer, Francine, gave one of the Hollies his first ride in a Corvette after the show was over. I was just in awe at being so close to the Hollies.
The Hollies had the greatest drummer in Bobby Elliott. Not only a great drummer but it you ever see him in any of their performances, he looks as if he is just having a lot of fun. This is the most underrated pop band in history and their induction in the RRHOF was long overdue.
Sounds better here than on the record. Fantastic. But i would prefer more boy bands with mindless danicing and crap melodies or maybe a little rap over the chorus............ and then i will shoot myself........
I keep watching this I'm hooked... I was a little girl when this was out but I love this now more than when it came out. I have a real appreciation for these guys.
No shit! It is awesome! I usually notice all the nice things like that, but untill I saw your comment I never really paid attention to this song ('cept the drums), though I heard it millions of times. :-)))
They were one of the very best bands around, I loved them, kinda wish i had a Tardis to take me back in that time and naturally we would be very young again..Oh well, I can dream cant I ? ;) just to add thankyou nyrainbow4 for this great video :)
Nash left because he wanted to Expand his music in another direction and hence you had born Crosby, Stills and Nash in 1968. Nash also is a multiple inductee into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame!
They were a GREAT band; always a little too pop for some tastes, but stuck around a long long time on sheer talent and creativity. Loved 'em then, love 'em now.

@hananohitomi 急に日本語のコメント見つけてびっくり。いい曲です。メロがほとんど歌謡曲(笑)。このバンド初期の頃からかなり演奏力あったと思いますよ。

Why Nash have left the band anyway?
In My opinion his voice was better in the band.
