Kakashi's Mangekyou is different from Madara's (non eternal) Mangekyou I dont know if it is person like to get a mangekyou form or it is the eye but Madara gave his left eye to not die because Konan killed him once and then he sacrisfied his left eye in order to stay alive after that he took Nagato's Rinnegan and filled the empty space of his left eye!

people dont understand that this is anime. There are no facts in anime anything can happen. For all we know obito could be actully someone else and not either of those guys. That will be a real shocky and will threw everyone off.

My theory is that Tobi is Madara, in Obito's body. We know Madara is still alive and we assume he is still alive because of his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. But he could also be alive because he uses a Jutsu like Orochimaru, where he can posses someone else's body. But yes, it must be a higher level jutsu than Orochimaru's due to the fact that Orochimaru had to regularly change bodies.
The first theory is dumb... Obito and Kakashi are the same age, Danzo is like 40 years older than Kakashi. And Danzo can't be Izuna because Izuna would be around the same age as Madara and Madara is over 150 years old, btw what does that have to do with Tobi?... However, chances are high of Obito being Tobi.
Here is a strong theory that you guys probably forgot. There is a scene in a manga chapter when Tobi met Kabuto/Orochimaru, when Kabuto had made an alliance with Tobi. After KAbuto resurrected a few of the Akatsuki, he then revealed another body, one that shocked Tobi and asked :" Where did you got that?" This is a strong theory that the body that Kabuto had got is Madara's ex-body.
Tobi = Madara: he said so, that's highly possible.
Tobi = Obito: since Tobi can have his arms be restored, it may be thanks to Zetsu, or because he was brought back from the dead and killed the one who revived him (but only Orochimaru and Kabuto know the jutsu), but I believe Obito is dead.
Obito = Madara: reincarnation? that's impossible for me.
In my opinion I think Madara is alive, but too weak in his own body. So I think he's controlling Obito's body. It would make sense since Obito lost his one Sharingan to Kakashi and it's the same eye he now has the Rinnegan implanted in.
Personally I think Obito was somehow "revived" after his body was shattered(maybe didnt do at all). Madara finding out that his eyes could keep living by taking new ones his body would perish eventually. He developed a new teqh that involved switching souls/minds(Ino style), however it didnt work out as planned. Short story I think Tobi is Obito, his body, his mind but skewed by Madaras memories, hate and power.
Madara was alive in the first hokage's era. Obito was a comrade of young kakashi and awaikened his sharingan during a mission. Danzo can't be madara neither obito BECAUSE madara was there when sasuke fought danzo, danzo implanted alot of sharingans into his body, he could've controlled them perfectly during his fight with sasuke if he was a uchiha
I Can prove that this is wrong because danzo is 3 older people of leaf and obito is young so obito is not danzo, and izuna is dead by itachi so he cant be danzo, tobi is mandra and is older when obito was young then.
When Kabuto showed a coffin that shocked Tobi, it could have been only Madara's body. Izuna was the one who took Madara's eyes and not other way arround and he disappeared after the war and returned as Madara. Now Kabuto has found out about that and is using Madara as a trump card.

One eye doesn't fit :) It should be byakugan if I remember well. Somewhere it was said that to read some ancient scrolls you need to use 3 strongest doejutsu (or whatever), that is Ethernal Mangekyou Sharingan, Rinnegan and Byakugan.

@DixiTime I don't know about that. There are still no signs or evidence he is the real Madara. They are just claiming that he is real Madara. If you read the manga carefully, there is hints that talks about Obito or hints about Obito. He talked about how he not seen Kakashi for long time, that is one of them. When his masked was shattered, his face looked like same age as Kakashi. He was not old. Of course, this is all about theory though.

My theory is that if tobi/madara is anyone it would be obito or atleast obitos body but thats just a guess based on the simlarities between the two and the fact it looks like tobi only has one sharingan eye and thats the opposite of kakashi's.
Of course this is assuming a lot of things such as that obito's body was some how not completely crushed by the huge boulders(highly unlikely). Only thing I'm certain of is that if tobi is madara, as he says he is, that can't be his original body.

I generally don't beleive tobi could be obito in any way just because of how the timing makes no sense. It will probably be a while till its clear who's behind Tobi's mask, at the moment I'd say its Madara, but I think a plot twist is comming.

Well Obito wasn't alive during the Nine tails attack because in the manga Kakashi was grown up by then. Danzo cant be Madara because when Danzo died Madara had took his body to extract his Sharingan but Danzo had destroyed it. It is possible that Madara is somehow using Obito body though.

What if it actually turns out that Obito is really Tobi/Madara? Well, one thing would be for sure. My theory is that Tobi is Madara, in Obito's body. We know Madara is still alive and we assume he is still alive because of his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. But he could also be alive because he uses a Jutsu like Orochimaru, where he can posses someone else's body. But yes, it must be a higher level jutsu than Orochimaru's due to the fact that Orochimaru had to regularly change bodies.

And Danzo can't be Izuna because Izuna would be around the same age as Madara and Madara is over 150 years old, btw what does that have to do with Tobi?... Here is a strong theory that you guys probably forgot. There is a scene in a manga chapter when Tobi met Kabuto/Orochimaru, when Kabuto had made an alliance with Tobi. After KAbuto resurrected a few of the Akatsuki, he then revealed another body, one that shocked Tobi and asked :" Where did you got that?" This is a strong theory that the body that Kabuto had got is Madara's ex-body.

Danzo = Madara/Tobi: impossible, Danzo is dead.
Tobi = Madara: he said so, that's highly possible.
Tobi = Obito: since Tobi can have his arms be restored, it may be thanks to Zetsu, or because he was brought back from the dead and killed the one who revived him (but only Orochimaru and Kabuto know the jutsu), but I believe Obito is dead.
Obito = Madara: reincarnation? that's impossible for me.

In my opinion I think Madara is alive, but too weak in his own body. So I think he's controlling Obito's body. It would make sense since Obito lost his one Sharingan to Kakashi and it's the same eye he now has the Rinnegan implanted in.

Personally I think Obito was somehow "revived" after his body was shattered(maybe didnt do at all). Madara finding out that his eyes could keep living by taking new ones his body would perish eventually. He developed a new teqh that involved switching souls/minds(Ino style), however it didnt work out as planned. Short story I think Tobi is Obito, his body, his mind but skewed by Madaras memories, hate and power.

Madara was alive in the first hokage's era. Obito was a comrade of young kakashi and awaikened his sharingan during a mission. Danzo can't be madara neither obito BECAUSE madara was there when sasuke fought danzo, danzo implanted alot of sharingans into his body, he could've controlled them perfectly during his fight with sasuke if he was a uchiha

When Kabuto showed a coffin that shocked Tobi, it could have been only Madara's body. Izuna was the one who took Madara's eyes and not other way arround and he disappeared after the war and returned as Madara. Now Kabuto has found out about that and is using Madara as a trump card.

Danzo is too old to be Obito, he'd have to be around Kakashi's age in order for this to be even considered a theory. Madara is also to old to actually be Obito. Madara was witnessed around the time of the attack when the nail tails was actually released. Madara couldn't have possible changed himself into a child only to grow up again. No. Obito is dead. One eye doesn't fit :) It should be byakugan if I remember well. Somewhere it was said that to read some ancient scrolls you need to use 3 strongest doejutsu (or whatever), that is Ethernal Mangekyou Sharingan, Rinnegan and Byakugan.
And at all Danzo is too old to be Obito, he born before Kakashi did, long time before :) And i suppose he has kind of 'witness' xD

Well Madara cant be Obito why?His body was crashed...but the main thing..Madara had both of his Sharingans...he lost one of them to survive from Konans attack..and he implanted a Rinnegan ...it would be nice to see Obito one more time but he is dead only Madara had the new type of Sharingan cause he stole the eyes of his brother..besides i doubt if Madara was Obito he would know so much about Sharingans Techniques.

If you read the manga carefully, there is hints that talks about Obito or hints about Obito. He talked about how he not seen Kakashi for long time, that is one of them. When his masked was shattered, his face looked like same age as Kakashi. He was not old. Of course, this is all about theory though.

My theory is that if tobi/madara is anyone it would be obito or atleast obitos body but thats just a guess based on the simlarities between the two and the fact it looks like tobi only has one sharingan eye and thats the opposite of kakashi's.
Of course this is assuming a lot of things such as that obito's body was some how not completely crushed by the huge boulders(highly unlikely). Only thing I'm certain of is that if tobi is madara, as he says he is, that can't be his original body.

Tobi and Obito both wear black and have the same hair.One theory is that Zetsu found the dying Obito and rescued him. Another is that he some how escaped. Both had a low regard for rules. There is also the name relation. As my final proof I quote chapter 364. I think all the theories and speculations are just absurd. Why try to figure out shit like "who really is Tobi/Madara?" It's ridiculous, honestly. Just look at the facts given, Danzo is Danzo, Tobi is Tobi. Obito died back in Kakashi Gaiden, rocks collapsed on him, and he had no defense, and ability to even perform a jutsu with one arm crushed; plus his right eye and face were also crushed, and rendered useless. I don't think there is anything special left for Danzou, just some old guy who is really gross and annoying. I generally don't beleive tobi could be obito in any way just because of how the timing makes no sense. It will probably be a while till its clear who's behind Tobi's mask, at the moment I'd say its Madara, but I think a plot twist is comming.

And when Danzo's subordinate cut Tobi's right arm, we can clearly see that it looks like white Zetsu's arm and why Tobi wanted Shisui's eye so much? And if Tobi is Madara why we haven't seen his EMS? I think when they dropped a cave onto obitos body they meant for him to die... Im pretty sure madara wasn't watching and waiting in the background to take a kids body.. plus danzo's danzo and tobi is definatly not obito, hes madara.

i think Madara is using the same type of jutsu as orochimaru did to stay alive because we see when Kabuto first go to Madara to join forces he shows him one coffin which we cant see in which i believe in Madara old body.

@stepj456 I think too that it was Madara's body but Kabuto can't revive it if Tobi is Madara, so thats why i think that Tobi isn't Madara

Well Obito wasn't alive during the Nine tails attack because in the manga Kakashi was grown up by then. Danzo cant be Madara because when Danzo died Madara had took his body to extract his Sharingan but Danzo had destroyed it. It is possible that Madara is somehow using Obito body though.

danzo ISN'T izuna, izuna gave both eyes to madara and DIED.
Obito DIED after the rock slide, which was BEFORE naruto was born.
Tobi IS Madara, who is still alive.
We all know the super saiyan was a joke, and that the third eye was fake, because madara only had two eyes.
