  • i think that the before cast is cooler because it looks like its been hit with bullets and crap

  • I like the bubbles they look like battle damge....

  • Wow that is some of the coolest scenary ive ever seen. Although the bubbles may be good if you wanted it to be war torn.

  • So is it Hydrocal? Hidrokel? What was the brand of plastic he was using to mold with, or simply what type of resin/plastic molding material?

  • @theliberator1 never mind, i misheard plaster for plastic. LOL

  • LOL 2:37 -2:39 that is just some of the coolest crap i have seen

  • LOL ending LOL

  • lol people pay good money for "bubble" created bullet holes hahaha

  • lol some 1940's woman at 3:07

  • I want IT!

  • This is sickk!!! Also if you use it without 'jet dry' i think u call it but it looks more war torn and distroyed

  • very not impressed...

  • can i buy it?

  • where do u get the moulds, or did u make them

  • @fusionlizards Read the description gives you link to website.

  • Dude what did you put in the mould?

  • LOL Dave at the end.

  • Firegrot Tim ftw!

  • The bubbles can be a nice technique if you want some damage and aging done to some of the models though!

  • wow.. that is so awesome. can i hire you to make my terrain?

  • Doesn't plaster break quite easily?

  • The bubbles make the walls look like they have been shot, which is not a bad thing always.

  • FUCK!! I WANT SOME MOLDS!!

  • can i buy those moulds??????????????????????????

  • I am so happy to learn about hirstarts, what a fantastic company! I plan to start building these plaster products to sell at my local game store... Awesome!

  • the bubbles could be bullet holes

  • man i remember trying to play space hulk once at camp, but this fat kid had a tantrum and through the board across the room. man it was funny

  • Comment removed

  • the one with holes looks like it was fulled with bolter rounds

  • with those bubbles you could still use them painted to look like that bio-acid corrosive crap the tyranids spew

  • the piece without jetdry (?) i think looks cool actually^^ bulletholes ftw ;)

  • Good for the space marines im a tired of them being the Tyranids bitch (i have a friend how is a tyranid player and he goes on about the alien horde but over all tau and space marines/ black templers are the best..........................elder are ok 2)

  • No offense to Tim, but anybody can make good looking pieces with those building blocks. The molds are expensive and once the novelty wears off the most common reaction will be that people 'have already seen that'.

I'm much more impressed by scratch built projects.

  • with the bubles it looks like bullet holles

  • ya the fail was acctuly cooler i think

  • since when does dave where a headset

  • they have brouht out a new space hulk set

  • yeah but its all made of cardboard like a board game

especially getting played 2 play/make toys

  • the bubbles look like bullet holes.

  • were do you get the moulds from?

  • @gorbad45 hirstarts (dot com)

  • @gorbad45 Link in the description.

  • @gorbad45 READ the description it gives link to the website...

  • @gorbad45 dude it say's in the description, dont feel embarassed i looked around on the internet before i noticed that...

  • yeah. it looks more as if it were in a massive fight

  • Hmm... Actually dental plaster is not very expensive. I bought 25 kilos for like 32$ at the dentist shop. They also have a nice array of sculpting tools and they're pretty cheap also :)

  • the bad cast look like it been shoot up and hit it look a little bit better i think.

  • oooh did anyone else hear em' say eh'??

  • yep

  • I remember you at Gamesday....

  • did this ever get done?

  • lol so anything you do vids for this september, does that mean it'll be officially released this time next year :D

  • i think the bubbles gave it a bit of a nurgle effect dunno if thats just me who thought of that lol

  • that is going to be just like the space hulk video by cotlsith

  • i thot this vid was about the new space hulk

  • well the one without "jetdry" could be painted to look like it was damaged by an acidic liquid, perhaps acid blood (dunno where that idea would come from)

  • that is gonna come in handy for the new space hulk game!

i love this i am gonna try and make some type of space hulk terrain from cities of death buildings!

  • where do you get molds

  • there is a link in the description

  • look at the discription

  • omg i have a good idea ^^

the one in the end with bubbles could be used as bullet holes !!

    it does i my head^^

  • i know it looks awsome as bullet holes!

  • her = he sorry sleepy right now ^^'

  • did her make the molds or did her buy them plz tell me

  • hey where did he get the mold sheets and what did he use to make the molds

  • Stop. The. Herky. Jerky. Editing.

You are not MTV. Stop. Great video otherwise.

Also, I don't want to be able to see your pores. Your close up is far too close.

  • where did you buy the mold.please write back

  • did you guys finish the terrain

  • hirstartsDOTcom

  • the one with the bubbles holes are like bullet holes

  • thats the first time i heard you guys say "ey" never heard that before

  • the bubbles look like bullet holes

  • lol with the bubbles it better i think it woul be good for a destroyed base

  • can u post a link to those molds?! please and thank you!

  • what number moulds did you use love the idea fire man tim!

  • were did you get those moulds???

  • it wasnt terminators invading the space hulk. terminators were on the space hulk then genes invaded the space hulk

  • man you could sell this stuff!!

  • the bubbles make the piece look like there's been a fight nearby, and looks cool, so it's almost better than the one without bubbles.

  • THE bubbels look like bullet holes so it wouldent be a complete letdown

  • were do you get the molds?

  • What is the material which was poured into the molds?

  • what is the pink stuff styrafoam or like foam or what?

  • oh and if you live in Australia you can get 20kg bags of Dental Plaster from Bunnings Warehouse ... last time i picked up 50kg it was around $40 / bag.

  • Ive made HEAPS of stuff with hirstarts molds .. to get rid of the bubbles build yourself a vibrating table. I will post a video with the simple table I made, it beats pounding the table with your first as the plaster pours.

  • You know, the bubbles kinda made it look like it was war torn.

  • Fireman Tim can you tell me where you got the moulds for the space hulk terrain

  • Hirst Arts moulds

  • wat did you make the stuff from

  • EH.

  • with the bubbles it looks like battle damage so those peices can still be used.

  • I'm tired of repeating my self, The bubbles cause the piece to weaken, hence they'll break. And then, You need to make many more new ones.

  • Yeah man-- kids running around with hammers, smashing all your pieces.. totally need them to be made out of space age materials.

When I saw the pocked pieces I thought the same thing-- paint them as if they were bullet holes, or battle damage. pieces are still usable.

  • i have a challenge for fireman Tim it is from dawn of war a relic piece that you can use for attack and defend game for warhammer

  • That is awesome!!!! Miniwargaming rules!

  • I haven't seen much of the Space Hulk Project..soon..

  • The bubbles look like bullet holes, which looks rather nice.

  • Yes, but if theres to many, it can make the piece weak and easy to break.

  • I only meant like the 3 holes that he showed in the peice he showed us, and unless your smashing the thing around, I doubt it would breack that easily.

  • that is frikin cool wow hope it gos well

  • I'm not sure what that was supposed to be but it does look interesting.

  • im casting now....

  • where can i get these moulds?

  • gooogle hirst arts mold and theres links to the website

  • i mite do it and make my own molds but........... dno what to make lol dont have anything to mould

  • Cant wait to see more...

  • I like the piece that got bubbles while casting.. it looks damaged :P

  • Thats awesome. The only problem i have with this is the same that i have with hirst moulds, that being that many parts could have been put together and cast as 1 to start with. This means that you will end up having to by many moulds just to build a decent scenario and these moulds will probley cost quite a lot. If however they decide to make a very large mould that will make big setups without the need to buy various moulds then im sure this will sell bucket loads.

  • i think it look cooler with the holes. u can like make them in 2 gun shot holes.. :D

  • gota see that made and painted

  • wheres does he get the molds from?

  • a friend is doing the same thing for the store here, with the same molds is great stuff.

  • really cool stuff... thinking about getting some molds myself now

are you going to be making the walls out of foamcore/hard styro?

  • GW had what they called Space Hulk 3D at Games Day in the mid 90s. Looked ace.

  • I can't wait to see this done. I've been playing the space hulk video game, and because of that, space hulk is at the top of what I am wanting to play. Just one below apocalypse.

Are there going to be any signs of damaged walls or broken doors?

  • crap!!

  • use bubbles as bulletholes

  • i played a versian of this at games day it was awsome and so fast

  • The only downside that I can see, is that if you aren't going to make the flooring go EVERYWHERE (which you will be, since its a ship) they're kind of thick.

  • cool but I would keep the bubles to make it more of a war zone

  • i was thinking that he could use the bubbles too for something like chemical scarring or something, like an acid spill.

  • Good Idea

  • One word: Bulletholes!

  • this vid was out 21 hours ago and there is already 47 coments!!!

  • i dont REALLY dont want to miss part 2

  • I have the Space Hulk terminators

  • I can't wait to see the ending of this piece it looks really cool plus it was a good game, also with the wall pieces with bubbles in it I think you should still use it it looks like a Marine could of missed his target and shot up a wall.

  • I was thinking the same thing with the bubbles. A shame to call it a failure tbh, it would have looked sweet.

  • Where do you get the plastic to pour in?

  • the bubbles can be used as bullet holes !!!!

  • Ya AWESOME TERRAIN

  • If you are selling them, how much do it cost? Please Dave answer me this because me and my friends could really use that.

Hehehehe you just made another bussiness, hehehe

  • i would keep the boubles it makes it look more realistic

  • coo cant w8t to see it done

  • i would keep the bubbled ones, they could be like gun holes

  • thats exactly what i thought :P

  • good minds think alike ;P

  • whoa thats really awesome! i wouldnt mind fighting on that space hulk lol

  • what are they producead by i couldnt hear him

  • where do u buy the plaster

  • you can buy plaster all over, hardwhere stores, maybe some craft stores even

online youll find loads of it

  • Omg this is realy sweet plus i realy wanne know where you can buy those molds there awsome what was it called cursedarts ??

    awsome vid 5/5 :)

  • its in the friggin description

  • The pieces with the bubble don't look that bad. They could be painted like they're bullet holes in the walls or something. Just adds more detail I think. Meh.

  • wow, nice,

  • can u put a link of where u got the moulds from =)

  • you could make the bubble look like bullet holds they rock!
