well, if you refer to me as "Persian" i am since i'm 2/3 Azeri and i know that it's wrong to call Azeris "Tork" since they are "Erani" originally, but also "Azeri" is right since they are a mixture of Turk with Erani (the name Azeri represenents the Erani side since it is an Eranian word/name)

Any "Turkish" vocabulary imposed on Azarbaijan province of Persia is not native because native Azarbaijani is Persian/Azari. It was imposed by Uzbek invasions a few centuries back and returning to our roots means minimizing the Uzbek loan terminology for native Azari Iranian

Non of these rules cared about race or having a Turkish name on the country. Any "Turkish" vocabulary imposed on Azarbaijan province of Persia is not native because native Azarbaijani is Persian/Azari. It was imposed by Uzbek invasions a few centuries back and returning to our roots means minimizing the Uzbek loan terminology for native Azari Iranian

To all my azeri friends . I am azeri from foot hills where Babak killed Invader Arabs . i do n't like ward of Iran either our fore father kept this country for us. the way i see it tabriz or Baki are my home towns. It is true among the persians and mullas are lots of ass wholes. however we have been known for our intelligents. We need to use our heads to have some friends around, insulting our friends and ourselves is n't smart . We need to take back what is belong to us by using our heads

@TheAzeri1977 Iran its not only for Persians or Azeris or Kurds. Iran is the land of aryans. Azeris make 16% of Iran. Since Safavid empire till today iran was under Azeris rule. Non of these rules cared about race or having a Turkish name on the country. Each group or tribes helped iran to become a develop country. like my parents are Azeri , they came from Zanjan but i borned in Tehran and i love my Iran. Plus Shi'a islam came from South Azerbaijan not from Persians. We are proud to be Iranian.

@TheAzeri1977 shi'a islam and zoroasteriazim both came from Azerbaijan. and there is no persian religion. persians have not brought any religion not only persians but all tribes in iran except azerbaijanis. why we can not become united again and bring back our old culture. fighting with each other wont bring us anything except it will make western countries happy and they will get benefits from it.

@xXMahdadXx i agree most of your answer. how ever your forgeting someting , civil rights people of azerbyjan . they need to read and write in their own language ( not in 2nd arab lg) .they need to learn their own history , no persian history and azerbyjani history is not same!! Fars Chauvisist garbage need to be stopped , since we turks are majorty we should more say so than the rest in the country. by the azerbyjanian were not a tribe but pars was!!
