@mytran80 Traditional korean music? I am a korean who spent teenage in 90s. From 1992 to 2000, almost half of our pop music had been the black ppl rap + broken english + dance. This Shinhwa song is released in mid 2000s, when the 10 years of dancepop boom temporarily weakened. Shinhwa was a black rap + broken english group too in 90s. What you say is the traditional kpop might refers to the genre Ballad, that exist still much, just don't appear in music bank etc , so you don't know them.

@klins1990 And one more thing is that Mnet Japan still plays quite a bit of Shinhwa plays today, even though they are not active at the moment. Like Eric said recently, Shinhwa hit Japan even before the Yon-sama craze. Just look at the first Mnet Japan concert in 2006, Shinhwa alone took up 3 stages and sang a total of 8 songs.

Leaving SM was inevitable if they were to stay as a group and grow as solo artists. The reason you haven't seen Shinhwa on the shows you've mentioned is because the members started their mandatory military service in 2008 and all members won't be back until the start of 2012.

Anyways, after leaving SM, they won several daesangs (top award) as a group and held the first Asia Tour by a kpop boyband (nearly 2000 fans waited for them in Shanghai Pudong airport).
