IOW the borderline unbearability of the audio track was designed to convey a
sense of the incredibly long, borderline mind-numbing process of
creating such a "nice" tapestry (that will last for generations to come, time is such a relative dimension).

The tapestry is nice but 10 minutes of listening to a guy play an E chord on the guitar is almost unbearable.
