MLK was a Communist, alcoholic, plagiarist, womanizer. MLK loved the company of White prostitutes and beat them when he was done with them. MLK aka Michael King was a complete scumbag. MLK was also affiliated with the Black Panther party which we all know is a Black supremacist group. The Black Panthers were arrested for Voter intimidation, and spreads hate speech which includes killing White babies, raping White Woman and little girls. Maybe you should teach your children the truth about MLK.
@Kevin32001 well liberal historians love doing this with blacks to at least give them some credibility but most of their accomplishments have been either fraud or widely asisted by other races (mostly whites)
Poor kids. I just saw an article that said that there are approximately 1,000,000 interracial violence in the USA per year. The reporter was black, and he went on to say that 90% of those crimes were black on white.
Myself, I've been robbed three times in my life. All blacks. Black males make up 6% of the population, how is this possible?
I can only assume that 'mom' has never gone to school or lived with African-Americans, or she would know the dangers.
I can't believe you made your children sit on the couch you said Lulu pee'd, pooped and spilled her milk on... just kiddin... your children are adorable.. Karen.. you are truly blessed. Thanks for the heads up on your other channel.. it's nice to see a different side of you.

Fun fact! Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday was on the 15th, which was yesterday. I'm not kidding, look it up. A bunch of people are having fun with the day off work though and not thinking about what he was really about. I am different than them, however, I worked today.

Who said, "Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall?" What wall? How many millions of people were freed from communist oppression? What is communism, and why is it evil?

@telejimmy57 - My point is merely wondering if they know anything else, anything more important than what they're parroting here. I'd love to know whether they know who Reagan was, why Washington was great, what Audie Murphy did...
At their age, knowing about MLK is irrelevant, especially compared with knowing about American history prior to the 1960s. All the topics I mentioned are as important to them as knowing that MLK thought ideas they clearly don't understand yet.
@Hiraghm The long, agonizing struggle over America's "original sin" long predates the 1960s, and the telling of "American history" would be gutted without its teaching. Even Dr. King's part in it isn't limited to that brief epoch. And since he played an imperishable part in that struggle (despite being only one among many), it is fatuous to say that "knowing about" him is irrelevant. Audie Murphy is a silly example in this context.
@telejimmy57 - That's the problem; this "original sin" nonsense was forced on us. There is no "original sin".
Knowing about him is irrelevant *compared to knowing about George Washington*. Reagan did as much good for this country as Dr King.
I don't object to children being taught about King, I object to them being taught about him out of context, as exampled in this video. As you said, the "struggle" long predates the 60s.
@telejimmy57 - And MLK was an adultering communist in bed with the mob. Which is as true as the tripe you put out about Reagan.
Yes, "forced on us". Rome had slavery. The Moslems had slavery. Egypt, Greece, Britain... Yet only leftists in America just can't do what everyplace else has, and move on. And not only blacks were slaves. Many Europeans sold themselves into slavery just to get here. Something you won't hear about in a modern gradeschool classroom.
@Hiraghm It's not remotely about moving or not "moving on". Nor did I say Europeans were never enslaved. You know, you do a lot of inferring with very little to go on. And everything I said about Ronny is true. I mean, it's true that Carter actually got the Contra ball rolling (few people know that), but Prez Raygun ramped up the bloodletting to nauseating rivers. Then there was his arms to Iran, and his UNCONSTITUTIONAL secret government (Fawn Hall's boss ring a bell?).
@Hiraghm Nor did I - or do I - claim (as you seem to imply I do) that European Caucasians pioneered the slave trade. The point of mentioning the "original sin" is that slavery was, in effect, extended roughly a century beyond the Lincoln's famous "Proclamation". To within my own lifetime people were legally barred from public accommodations and run out of Midwestern towns, based solely on their African ancestry. That's one reason it's a relevant thing to mention.
@Hiraghm And Reagan's senility? Reagan said the Russian language had no word for "freedom." (The word is "svoboda") He said that intercontinental ballistic missiles could be recalled once launched. He alarmed the Soviets by saying that the US and Russia would unite against an invasion from Mars. He told Yitzhak Shamir and Simon Wiesenthal, on two separate occasions, that he himself had assisted personally at the liberation of the Nazi death camps (a delusion or a lie. take your pick).
@Hiraghm Also, you contradict yourself within the reply you sent. In the same paragraph you declare that lessons about Dr. King are irrelevant, then go on to say that your list of people and events are "as important". Make up your mind, will you? As for clearly understanding ideas, neither of them is too young to begin learning about either your favored list, or about the long, tragic history of racial inequality. And learning about MLK doesn't preclude lessons about President Washington.
@telejimmy57 - I didn't say he was irrelevant, I said *at their age* he's irrelevant. I pulled examples of historical figures and events from memory, as something "everybody should know". I don't think they should be even this well versed on the other figures and events I mentioned at their age.
So, on Washington's birthday, they'll parrot oversimplified facts about Washington? On Lincoln's?
This is like teaching them about the Cuban missile crisis w/o teaching about the cold war.
Aww.. both of them are so cute :))))
