I agree with the comments i was lucky in the fact that John Crawford the lead singer of The Big F and the same J. Crawford that was in Berlin, I saw the big f many times, i was lucky John Crawford is my ex-brother inlaw i was married to his wifes sister John is no longer in the music industry he is married, he is a father and owns and runs his business nice to see that people still know what good music is like the big f
2/3 of this band was in New Wave band Berlin (drummer and guitar player) before putting this record out. Changed their names to try to try to dissociate themselves from all the hairspray and eye-liner. No one bought this record anyway.
@Gilesxx "Why" has some of the best guitar work I've ever heard in a rock n roll song. The guitar playing on this whole album is so incredible. Any "guitarist" I've ever played this album for always says, "Wow, I love that guy's style."
Hearing this, I feel like I'm ripping round Mom and Dad's basement again. Technics and a big ass Vega shaking shingles off the roof. Like he says at the end, "--at was great!" FNA!
Just an incredible band, it's that simple. Sensational album (the self-titled one) and so was the follow-up. Waaaaay ahead of the times, totally underrated and I wish I could listen to more.

Hey Mark, The Big F is one of my favorite bands of all time. The guitar work is fantastic, the solo in "Why" is in my top two recorded solos.
If you come within 250 miles of Detroit I will be there. Hope you could get Rob to join in. Please update the fans here or on the my space site.
This band should be a lesson to all of us to get out and support the bands that rock when they were around instead of years of " I wish I..."
