    there is an article on PCworld called "Comcast's Creepy Experiment Puts Cams Inside DVRs to Watch You."

    Read the response in the comment from the Comcast PR rep. She says that it's to provide gesture-based motion, as if that could be better than a remote in any way... "like the Wii" she says. THE WII -IS- A REMOTE, YA WHORE!

  • Or maybe their are receivers in the ground where all of the telephone wires and it just transmits to those instead of the huge station.

  • It takes a 100' antenna and 1,000WATT amplifier to broadcast a radio signal only a few miles. If the technology was there to fit all that into an 8" box, broadcast companies would be using it instead of paying millions a year in land taxes, rental fees and FCC broadcast land permits.
