whats with all those taped fingers? do you take time to recover from your trainings? if it ain't injuries i do recommend you to no longer use the tapes. the tapes take stress of your finger pulleys. if you tape healthy fingers they won't get the right incentives. this will cause that the pulley's wont adept to the load they have to carry, what results in weak pulley's that'll tear apart quickly.
@JASanchezCid You'd be surprised how much simple puch ups, pull ups, crunches, and squats do. If you're not in the best of shape, that's always a good start, then try adding weight (or for the puch and pull ups, change hand positioning or try one arm). Chances are you'll be doing TONS of them before long, where NixSeraph could probably help you more than me.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention: CARDIO! Start running, sprinting, etc... Uphill preferrably. And don't forget to warm up and STRETCH.
@loriensleafs I currently climb around v6-v7ish and I still find the 1 hand pull ups to be fairly impressive. I might be able to do 2 on a ring, but those things are pretty hard for someone who works on v3s.
yeah, i'm not one for criticizing others but... while many of the things you do on here are impressive, you lack a lot of technique in you're climbing. Looks like you were doing, at best, V4 (gym ratings of course). Someone with your strength should be climbing like V8 indoors if they have the proper technique... work on that because Ninja Warrior is a shit ton of body control (similar to climbing). Other than that, you've got a great shot at it. Hope to see you on there.
I have to be honest, while allot of the things illustrated in the video were amusing, single arm pull-ups are pretty hard to do for the best of us. But my little sister has more technique climbing than you, and to add wtf is with the chalked up foot for kicking the punch bag? id quite like to chalk my hand then bitch slap you, im sure it would look just as impressive my friend. ;)
try straighter arms for the iron cross when you're starting and then start bending after you get the hang of that, bent arms are better for your joints on it but it's easier to get the muscle control for your back for starters
bad music, you're in love with yourself, nothing but jugs, good job wasting chaulk to kick a punching bag. Anyone who's in decent shape can do everything you just did without a problem.
the kicks right at 30-34 leave the guy waay open for a shot to the chest. if the other guy was kicking same side, same form they'd both go down. fail.
i think you need more tape at your fingers at 2.30 lol oh and by the way learn some teck or for your safety dont leave the gym...rock are dangerous for matcho men
you should be using your middle and ring fingers for those pocket pullups, not your middle and fore fingers. The middle two fingers on your hands are the strongest ones. I know it feels weird at first, but if you do 2 finger pullups like that in repetition, you might tweak a tendon. And that just sucks.
Also if you can climb multiple trips on the campus board, the backwards bouldering on ninja warrior is nothing to worry about. They all looked like jugs on the show.
Your muscular endurance is phenomenal, can you put warped wall training in your next vid? I think if you practiced parkour it will hone your ability's and help you on how you approach an obstacle. Good luck and sasuke 22 is your's -Bryan Legge-
I don't want to sound cliche here, but the truth is "You are NEVER too old to start something." No, 14 is NOT too old to start martial arts. Martial arts--whether the style is Japanese, or Korean, or Chinese, or South American, or whatever--is a fantastic way to hone your talents and abilities, provide you with a greater sense of security, and give you an overall healthy, physically fit body. I say: DO IT! Peace.
They usually have a kid's class (ages 4 to 12), then a teenage class (ages 13 to 17), then an adult's class (ages 18+). Don't worry too much, though. I'm sure you'll be able to defend yourself against the 9 year olds just fine if the above age example isn't the case. Take care.
You seem to be very good at pull up's, one armers etc. But what grade do you actually boulder? I tend to find the effectiveness of pull ups drops off hugely once you go over 10+ reps.
Using the United Kingdom Technical Grade System, I'd say I usually boulder around a 5c, 6a and sometimes a 6b difficultly grade. As far as the pull-ups go....mostly they're strength training for the Ninja Warrior competition, not exclusively for bouldering. Ninja Warrior requires an incredible amount of both strength and endurance, and I find doing workout sets with LOTS of reps will prepare me best for the obstacles I'll be facing. Thanks for your comment.
@NixSeraph Have u been on the show yet? U look strong enough to make a good attempt at it. Also, practice Warped Wall if u haven't already, it seems to be a very specific technique that catches many many people out if they haven't practiced it.
At least V14... Need to become a ninja to try that boulder problems...
