I HATE that they don't include the brilliant Middle-Eight section in the closing credits nowadays. If Murray Gold went to all the effort of keeping it in this revamp, why don't they include it on TV? :(

I love this variation of the theme. Its as awesome as the series 1-3 theme. The Series 4 theme sucked.

What happened to that little engine whine thing that's in the end of the version actually used on the show? I assumed the one they distributed towards the beginning of the season was an unfinished version, and was looking forward to the final version that would be on the soundtrack so I could get a corrected version, but clearly that wasn't it? *confused*

@MaurusRehmahrntahn I think I know what you mean. Not sure where it is, it must be just a sound effect that they put in over the top of the song.

@FeatherWings78 If lately you mean by series 6, they may have slightly changed it becasue of a new series and all, also, keep in mind that only about 30 seconds of this song is used in the title part. It stops at about 0:33 and thats where the engine whine type noise comes in.

I favourite it because its just in your face epic , its way different to the original theme- the doctor who tune is the doctor who tune , forever will composers make new ones for the series and thats what its all about! never remaking , always regeneratin! :D

You know I didnt like the version they use in the actual show, but the ending to this is so like the older Doctor who themes that it's almost perfect.
