what should i pick hunter,knight,royalty,or soldier? any advice

Well seeing as the lock on is in the game for a reason why wouldn't you use it? If you have skill with switching enemies through the lock on system then you will be much more efficient rather than hacking and slashing in the directions you don't want to be... If you ask me thats just being to stubborn and failing in the process... :\

@A1R5N1P3R I just say this because I myself have a hunter and use the axe and I haven't had a single problem with the vertical slashes. :\ I also got past the vangaurd in 2 minutes with the hunter....

do u need str for bows as hunter cos i need 15 for long bow but have 11 as hunter and no penalty

I'm going to get this soon and have short-listed my class options. My choice is between Royal and Hunter. I'm a bit of a wuss and Royal is supposed to be easy but I like having a ranged option but does soul-arrow have a long range? My play style will be melee in enclosed spaces and preferably ranged in open. Can Royal classes wield bows?

@vryafoat777 Watch the playthrough, that should get you started, and there's a wiki online for the game as well, but don't use it too often as it'll spoil any discoveries you may have made on your own.

@gamerzndplayerz I would go with Soldier for a class thats easy at the start. I mean in stats the Hunter is good and all and you can basically buy the same gear the soldier has and with the bow after all that would be better. But all that farming would take at least an hour and suck away the action so go soldier if you just wanna get right into the action. I mean if you're willing to spend like an hour farming for souls to buy gear and better weapons go hunter.Other than that I recommend Soldier

I used a wanderer the first time I killed the Vangaurd. Roll to dodge his attacks, and just keep hitting him. Once he dies you use an archstone to teleport to a reward room! :) it's filled with goodies soulgems and the dragon god that kills you and sends you to the nexus anyways!

Do every classes use the shield? I don't care about the magician or any non weapon specialist. I don't like how they all seem to be carrying shields.

Reasons why I I bought this: it's hard. you need Skills on it. it looks good. it sounds good. this kind of games have made too (what is the opposite thing for: "much" xD) anyway. its Damn Good Game!!!

The same thin happened with my female Soldier against Adjudicator but when his health was down about halfway he got me because of the fact that his position shifts after he gets back up after a fall!

I really want to make a Hunter or Huntress rather, range, str, end, vit will be the main focus but a little bit of magic never hurts!

@Fallout4Freaks In the end all classes even out. Wanderer has the best starting weapon. TemplKinght is a strong starter as well. Thief takes some getting used too. Magician is pretty powerful at around level 37ish. Most people looking for a crutch class choose Royalty though.

@tyleerr6 Tyler you won't be disappointed, but you will curse at your television profusely, and you may want to throw your controller. For Demon's Souls is a real game, with real consequences for errors made by the player.
