On any given day, while it's a freezing 40 degrees down in Dixie, it's a bitter 15 degrees up here in the North. @the934x4 i agree that north/west hunters endure brutal elements and terrain but hunting down in the southern u.s. can be miserable in its own right (heat, mosquito's). There is unforgiving land here just as there is in the north,west, east and everywhere in between. All regions have spooky game and not so spooky. I hunt places with game on both ends of the spectrum and I'm sure you do as well, depends a lot on hunting pressure. Yeah, I dream to hunt them big ole deer but no place like home too
