  • Gary en Todd also did a track (Four in one) on another project: The music of Thelonious Monk . search for it on you tube . but to be honest this Kurt Weil track rocks a lot more. and yes I too like the theater stuff Todd did on several records!!!

and you can hear some synthi sounds which refer to the Love bomb album of the Tubes

  • As a Faithful TR fan I bought this album. Thanks for posting this.

  • This is the most vitriolic and powerful set of words, the 3d Opera first Finale, Mackies 'Call From The Grave'. This translation is very mild. The original 1933 version is far more powerful. 'May heavy hatchets hit their faces, And smash them in for all to see, Now I forget their filthy faces, And beg them all, to pardon me....' is the translation I prefer. Far stronger! The 1933 English cast translation (with Lotte Lenya) used in the MGM recording of that year, is better than any since, IMHO.

  • wow I never heard of this before..TY for sharing it! It's fantastic!

  • thanks, interesting version. rocking. the record is out of print, alas.
