It is interesting to note however that the most powerful women of history have been monarchs. And yet we are supposed to believe that the patriarchy enslaved women. I challenge feminists to show me a women through all of history who was more powerful than Maria Theresa or Catharine the Great.

@mensaction I agree with you that they were not completely female run organizations. Most female monarchs surrounded themselves with male advisors and appointed men to high positions in government. However they were by no means symbolic monarchs. Catharine the Great, although she greatly respected the opinions of her advisors, generally did want she wanted to do. Oppression of any sort is not good for anyone, neither men nor women. Patriarchy seems to be what marginalizes people. By what means has feminism be detrimental? Feminist ideology tends to go by the "i dont need a man" mantra. Now you have a whole lot of single mothers out here. Most high school dropouts, criminals, and men who enable poor behavior in women are raised by single mothers. Feminism works by disempowering men verbally, socially, and legally, telling men they need to be more "sensitive" ie feminine which only make men less desireable as mates and as leaders. Also patriarchy doesnt neccessarily mean women will get oppressed...
