India can't build a knock-off copy of a Leopard 2 referred to as "indigenous Arjun" with 58% of its components (engine, transmission, optics and stabilization system) imported from Germany. On the other hand, China is capable of building Type 99G tanks, which are on par with T-90s or better, with all components built indigenously.
I did not say type99G is better than T-90A - I said they are functional equivalents. And it is all manufactured in China - that was my main point(The chineese DIDN'T get to copy the T-90A because the Russians never provided any for them to copy.). Over 60% of the components that are important on the Arjun are imported.
