Jay I am from near Mt Everest. And You asked to one girl about Mt Everest. Mt Everest is both of Nepal and Tibet. I summited Mt Everest 9 times, North side is Tibet side, You need permit from CHina.
@diliprai you fucking prick, see you everywhere. I'm not against kirat or any other community but you its true u gotta flag your ass like comments everywhere. learn to live in harmony...peace
Half of Mt everest is in Tibet... so i guess the girl was somewhat right and the dude is somewhat wrong... and by the way how do you expect some random person to know how to say namaste?
Lord Buddha was born in Kiratdesh(now nepal). He came to Kathmandu valley during the rule of 7th Kirati King Jitedasti. So it doesn't matter what Indians says as long as we stick to the truth. In the end truth will triumph.
@diliprai Did i say Buddha wan't born in Nepal? I am talking about Mt everest dude... and by the way it doesn't matter where Buddha was born, it's his teachings that is more important....
@mingursurshar yes lord buddha was born in nepal when kirat was ruling. 5000 years ago king yalamber built kathmandu. kathmandu, patan, bhakatpur, lalitpur were named after kirati words. today nepal fail. now kiratas must unify and rebuild kiratdesh nepala.kiratas must return home and contribute to nation building. kiratas must work in government offices, public administration posts, public, private sectors, NGOs and many other fields. Kiratas must also engage in politics and become ministers.
j pae tei..i dont knwo what the guy was trying to do! :S
he shouldn't have asked that ques-hw to say hello in nepali..that kinda ques usually makes it uneasy for the foreigners ( Americans here) ..he could have asked other questions lol
@LotrGollum: I agree that this survey was poorly done . This main objective of this video was to find out how good BYU students are on "Geography" and i guess you get the answer from the video. I am not pointing out my finger at Americans. Also, I am not bragging about myself that I can say hello in every language. There are quite a few Nepalese students in BYU in every department. My expectation was quite high before i took this survey and after quite disappointing.
Oh yeah, how many people did you have to interview to get those responses, and why am I not in your video? ...and yes, the girl with the hat in 2:29 is very cute. :)
....So why should be be able to point out a tiny, relatively uninfluential country? It's not the easiest thing in the world to get into BYU and BYU students are generally fairly intelligent. Come back when you can point to every country on the map and say "hello" in every language, then you can point fingers at Americans. :P
This is probably the worst survey ever because it's inaccurate and dishonest. I was interviewed in the library and quickly managed to point to Nepal on the map because I knew it bordered India. I answered all of the questions correctly except the one about how to say "hello" in Nepali and the guy was completely crestfallen, which made me uneasy because I realized he was trying to make me look like an idiot. Also, even this guy wouldn't be able to point out every tiny country on the globe.....
man those byu students are idiots! i go to byu and i am from uruguay, and like nepal, the stupids americans say is in africa...and they are university students??? come on! long live nepal!!

I expect you to speak proper English if you are in the United States.
1) How many people knows about Nepal? Really? How did you pass the TOEFL kid? Its “How many people KNOW about Nepal?” (Duh)
2) What is the TALLEST mountain in the world? Mauna Kea is the tallest mountain in the world. Mt. Everest is the HIGHEST mountain in the world.
3) Why would you ask someone to “guess” the greeting if they don’t know the language? Are you retarded?

Here's one fact about Nepal.
Lord Buddha was born in Kiratdesh(now nepal). He came to Kathmandu valley during the rule of 7th Kirati King Jitedasti. So it doesn't matter what Indians says as long as we stick to the truth. In the end truth will triumph.
Thumps up people if you agree with me.

tell them about it. Hope you can show them this short documentary about ancient Nepal.
here's the video --> "Kiratas:the Himalayas Race"
