There are so many ways to distribute replays that Blizz can't stop it. Bottom line is Blizz is looking for more money from the game. Adobe sells you a program arguably cheaper than a game subscription over 2 years and doesn't own your content. Just because Blizz makes the decision doesn't make it legally correct.

In real sports you can scout your opponent, see what they are doing on the field, and gameplan accordingly. If these guys want SC2 to be an esport, they have to accept these facts of what physical sports include. Besides, things like build order scouting are only important for a few dozen pro gamers, not for most of us average players enjoying the game otherwise. That said, I agree with some of the other concepts talked about in the video. We need chat rooms and a way to make custom games.
