My doctor said I had a little bit of bronchitis. he could only tell because he listened to my chest and said it sounded like my bronchi or whatever were inflamed cause my breathing sounded coarse. Im on antibiotics, penicillin .
I'm a smoker, but still young enough to where I didn't think problems would occur. I started chain smoking after I found my boyfriend dead. Three days ago I started gettig what you have. I don't feel sick, my lungs just feel bad and plem keeps comming up. It's seems to be gatting better now that I stoppped smoking. I don't even want one now. I'm putting mms drops in a gallon of water and drinking, and taking vitimin d and c. Hot tea is helping me to stop coughing, with some natural stuff.
My boyfriend has bronchitis... ;( ... People in my class say "Arent you scared that you will get bronchitis too"... I try not to answer. I wanna stay away from him cause i dont wanna get infected because its contagious. But i love him and its hard to stay away from the person you really really love. ;( I love you, get well Westley. <3
@Star2bCoolWoozen Correct me someone if I'm wrong but I didn't think bronchitis was contagious... Mine developed from the common cold..meaning you catch what started it possibly not bronchitis. I think after awhile though the cold was gone, all that was left was just my awful coughing and phlegm. My fiance had the cold, I got it from him. He got over it in 3-4 days. When I caught it I developed bronchitis and that was about 3 weeks of horrible coughing till present day ( minor coughing still)

@beckasha83 true. i have bronchitis and went to the doc, taking prescription, syrup, mucinex and some tablets (not all at the same time) but other things that would help are steaming your bathroom up with the hot shower and breathing in the steam. It reeeally is worse than bronchitis if it lasts for months.

Add: Chronic bronchitis weakens the lungs. Try to build up your immune system before pneumonia starts messing with you...
Hate to disappoint some of you, but I have never smoked in my life & I have bronchitis. Problem started as the flu & then developed this awful cough...urgent care didn't give me antibiotics for it saying cough would go away...a week later I'm coughing so hard my back & head hurt & primary dr says it's now a bad case of bronchitis. On antibiotics, inhaler, nasal spray & codeine cough syrup at night which doesn't even help! Don't blame everything on being a smoker
@OriginalPoffertjes I hear ya. I'm starting out with a cold/sinus infection, and I'm on..like..a million decongestants and the cough suppressants aren't really working anymore. I went to the doctor on Friday and they said it was just an infection right now, and to go back as soon as I feel pressure in my chest. Unfortunately, they said it could take a couple weeks and I back to school on Friday.

i might have it, but i got it checked after a few days i got bad coughing fits. had a few months back but because of my army PT, a few weeks of aerobics exercises, it was gone without me noticing it, and then my bunkmate got sick and i got it back last week. the doctor said im fine.... :( but i dont think so. but i got medication which is fluimucils. isit good? she says its for the inflammation on my lungs and bronchus.

Yup, that is definitely what it sounds like. I have it right now, and I can say that it is hell!!! Fortunately my Doctor caught mine in time, so the anti-biotic regimen he has me on prevented the worst of the symptoms.I still have that cauph though.. And yeah it is very frustrating.
@cadaverock two years ago I had BRONCHITIS and I sounded just like that. it was in my lungs and it was hell.I had to buy a nebulizer machine and three times a day do nebulizer treatments. it was expensive and agrivating.took about a month to clear up.
3 months are longer for 2 years of a productive cough like she has is chronic bronchitis. Smoking is a major player in this disease process so quit now.....

@SnowKid32 Well, all you should do is stay indoors, and if you get pain, fever (or indeed phlegm, go to the doctor. The doctor will sort you out :)
I had bacterial bronchitis (which is rarer), so I went on antibiotics. The doctor should be able to tell whether it is a virus or bacterial

I know exactly what you went through. I suffer from it periodicly and mild asthma. I am on inhalers as well. It takes alot out of you and the coughing is horrible. I cough until I gag. Hope you are better now

Had it all my life...the worst thing about the cough is that it feels like you're not strong enough to hawk out the mucus..--nice visual, there--but it's like that anyway, no matter how hard you hack.The lungs' filaments and capillaries are swollen, and blocked tight.
Add: Chronic bronchitis weakens the lungs. Try to build up your immune system before pneumonia starts messing with you...

Hate to disappoint some of you, but I have never smoked in my life & I have bronchitis. Problem started as the flu & then developed this awful cough...urgent care didn't give me antibiotics for it saying cough would go away...a week later I'm coughing so hard my back & head hurt & primary dr says it's now a bad case of bronchitis. On antibiotics, inhaler, nasal spray & codeine cough syrup at night which doesn't even help! Don't blame everything on being a smoker

@OriginalPoffertjes I hear ya. I'm starting out with a cold/sinus infection, and I'm on..like..a million decongestants and the cough suppressants aren't really working anymore. I went to the doctor on Friday and they said it was just an infection right now, and to go back as soon as I feel pressure in my chest. Unfortunately, they said it could take a couple weeks and I back to school on Friday.
:D I haven't smoked a day in my life. Yahoo.

poor sweety, hope you fixed that, i have the same thing, it was like looking in the mirror, thank you for the video. i had it for one week and went to the doctor right away and got antibiotics for it it cures quickly if you catch it in time and get a lot worse if you don't treat it, please don't smoke people it is the worst thing for you. all the best, the worst part is lying down at night and coughing every few minutes, i don't cough as much standing up, wish i was a horse during this time

It's the kind of cough that when you cough everyone around you tries to check what the hell's going on with you. Was recently diagnosed with it after 2 weeks of sleepless nights and endless coughing. It's so horrible!

i might have it, but i got it checked after a few days i got bad coughing fits. had a few months back but because of my army PT, a few weeks of aerobics exercises, it was gone without me noticing it, and then my bunkmate got sick and i got it back last week. the doctor said im fine.... :( but i dont think so. but i got medication which is fluimucils. isit good? she says its for the inflammation on my lungs and bronchus.
anyways, the lady in the video cough was worse than mine. hope you get well

Yup, that is definitely what it sounds like. I have it right now, and I can say that it is hell!!! Fortunately my Doctor caught mine in time, so the anti-biotic regimen he has me on prevented the worst of the symptoms.I still have that cauph though.. And yeah it is very frustrating.

@cadaverock two years ago I had BRONCHITIS and I sounded just like that. it was in my lungs and it was hell.I had to buy a nebulizer machine and three times a day do nebulizer treatments. it was expensive and agrivating.took about a month to clear up.

Yep-I think this is what I have. I've been coughing non-stop for about 2 weeks now and it sounds a lot like this.... I'm completely drained and my sides & throat hurt a lot.

To the haters, fuck off please. Until you have bronchitus or something similar, you will NEVER know what it's like constantly trying to breathe with struggle. You feel as if you have a heavy chest to the point where it's a struggle to breathe, so you caugh and caugh as this women did in the video, but it's a non productive caugh. It's a very depressive feeling and I know how she feels, so please treat her with the respect she deserves.
