Ok guys this is what fixed it for me, I called 2k in UK and they said to go to the game data folder on your ps3 not the game saves, "game data" and delete the 2k game data. Try to keep the additional data part. If it still freezes then delete both the game data and the additional game data. Hope that fixes it. ~Cheers

Turning off auto save does NOT work nor does anything else. I am absolutely furious at this game right now and feel like snapping it in half or using it as a coaster for my dog's water bowl. My player was rookie of the year, league MVP, selected to the All Star game, won every single player of the month, won the scoring title, first in assists, dominated the playoffs...and now game over thanks to this freezing crap. I wasted hundreds of hours of my life that I can never get back. F*** 2K12!
