This is infrared for sure. Range 7.5 to 13.6 micrometers. Oh... thermal vision is the samething as infrared detection. I believe you are confused about the diference from "thermal vision (or infrared)" and "night vision". Night vision is a device that detects near infrared and enhances the visible light (range 0.4 to 1.0 micrometers).
it's fun to watch but it's kind of what I expected. Pretty to look at though; you should get several nice color prints out of it and sell them at local art fairs and make a killing.

We used a FLIR S45. It´s possible to aquire 30 fps. But in this movie we shot each 2 seconds and made the movie on Movie Maker.
