@32qazx Gun, pepper spray, any kind of weapon you need to pull out have similar problems: Depending on how the self-defense situation started and who it is you're defending against, you may not be able to reach for that weapon before you're life is over. There's no arguing, knowing self-defense techniques increase your odds of coming out alright when used judiciously...with extensive training.

no need to get nasty, but I must agree the techniques presented by this instructor in this and other videos are overly complicated and not very likely to work as taught. Simple works., guns or other weapons take training and practice to bring into play effectively and are almost always illegal to use except in "lethal force" situations that are provable. If you use a weapon or take a life in self defense, you will be charged period.

Not every country is as dangerous as America, and not every country allows guns... I live in France, so we can't have guns. I think her techniques are pretty effective and useful b/c if you get attacked by a drunk guy, he's not gonna be very quick and reactive... You have time to run or to take you shoes off (it's not like they're stuck to you feet, one shoe is enough) when you're not already near the attacker...
