  • You guys are killing your town... Its already half dead with drunks, intentionally homeless bums (not the kind that cant help it), bikers, and say nothing of the crummy streets and backwoodsy hick mentality. Whenever anything comes in that will help it thrive, you say.. NO We dont want THAT in our town. You dont realise that business is what makes a town thrive. If you kill the money makers... what have you got. A crummy little run down town. Sad but true.. and I live here so I know!

  • First, kudos to Mr. Castro for refusing to be lured into HomeDepot's malicious corporate tactics of trying to divide the opposition!!

Secondly, where in the world did all these trolls come from? I would delete every off-topic posting from this forum if it were my video.

Thanks for posting. It's a lovely community, one of the few remaining in the whole so cal region. I'd like to see it stay that way. :-)

  • Stupid american residants with nothing to do.........If I was HomeDepot, I ban every single one of the protesters from the coming to the store in the future.

  • "Approximately 1 1/2 years before I left, a new rule came out stating that if you got pregnant, you had to either get an abortion, which was heavily pushed, or leave. The rule had previously been that if you got pregnant, you had to get an abortion or be sent to a small and failing lower organization where you had to fend for yourself and your baby." - Declaration of Astra Woodcraft, ex-scientologist, former Sea Org member, and owner of exscientologykids(.)com, 24 January 2001.

  • The official CoS biography paints Hubbard as a humanitarian, educator, world explorer, artist, philosopher and, ultimately, the very savior of mankind. Reality paints a much dimmer image. By piecing together his personal journals, his educational and military records, and the words of his own family, we see something much different: a deeply paranoid individual desperate to smash his name into the history books and in the process, make millions of dollars pushing his own brand of pop psychology.

  • Scientologists tend to make what might be called the "Argument from My Own Eyeballs". It seems they're saying that if you don't have any audio and visual footage of an actual event then the likelihood that the event took place should be doubted. If this style of reasoning was ever applied to the legal system, convictions of criminals would go through the floor and chaos would ensue because we would be demanding a standard of evidence that is practically impossible to meet.

  • "He punched me in the face at least ten times and my glasses fell off, I was thrown up against a desk unit, a counter top, and that was the moment right then when I realized I could go no further down than this, to be beaten by the leader [David Miscavige] of my so-called church." - Marc Headley, ex-Scientologist and former Executive Producer at Golden Era Production (production company owned by Scientology), Glosslip April 27, 2008

  • NO HOME DEPOT

  • I would like to see the statistics, the in depth studies of the negative effects on HD on other communities your group has, if any. Wishful thinking and shots at a target in the dark will not improve situations. Turkeys can't fly no matter how much you want them too.

  • Consider the statement:

I will never ever trust anything any scientologist has ever said, because a scientologist said it, because I *know* scientologists are evil.

Not a fair statement, right? Now consider:

I will never trust anything any psychiatrist has ever said, because a psychiatrist said it, because I *know* psychiatrists are evil.

    Makes more sense, doesn't it?

I got the second statement by replacing the word "scientologist" with "psychiatrist".

    Think about it.

  • I don't get your point on this. If I ever wanted to know about any subject or any person, I would go to the source to find out about it myself. You didn't and you know it, so in reality you're a victim of the Internet. The sources on the internet could be anyone and you have fallen at their hands. Information Superhighway Driveby

  • OH RLY?

You mean like you went to the source for learning about psychiatry? Oh wait, no you didn't - you just assumed the negative propaganda brought forth by the CCHR.

If I wanted to learn about the subject of Scientology, I'd go to Scientologists. If I wanted to learn about the fraud and abuse of Scientology, I would go to the ex-scientologists, ex-sea org members, and those who have been harassed by the Church of Scientology.

My data comes from many different sources, unlike yours.

  • No, unlike you, I actually did go to the source. My mother is a victim of psychiatric abuse. I never went to any website like yourself. I got it straight from the horses' mouth. My mother was destroyed by Psychiatrists and their drug pushing. Me and a large family are here to attest to their destruction of people.

  • "I actually did go to the source. My mother is a victim of psychiatric abuse. "

And that's what people do when they protest Scientology's abuses - they go to the victims. I went to the stories of mothers disconnected from their children, and critics who have lost their businesses for speaking out.

What amazes me is how you cannot see the corruption within your own Church and dismiss it as entheta. You should learn to read both sides.

  • Your data is from the same places a lot of you morons get it from because you keep saying the same thing over and over. You're not original, a parrot is not a smart animal because he repeats what he hears. I'm done with you, literally, there is no other defense from you. The Internet does not make anyone smart or smarter. You got to back to the old school way of learning, which is in finding out from personal experience and cracking open books as in a library.

  • Google "THE TRUTH RUNDOWN". 4 high-ranking ex-members of the Church of Scientology have just confirmed David Miscavige beating his staff, including Marty Rathbun and Mike Rinder. No longer can the Church of Scientology claim everybody who criticizes Scientology is a liar, when they all confirm the same things.

  • "Your data is from the same places a lot of you morons get it from because you keep saying the same thing over and over."

We've only spoken to each other through at least two responses. How can you claim I'm saying the same thing over and over? As well, you are hastily concluding you know where I get my data. If you want to talk about repetition, refer to Scientology's training routines, where you are trained to believe a lie until it becomes truth.

  • senorvergara, 11 more former members of the Church of Scientology have spoken out, confirming the abuses of David Miscavige. Please re-evaluate the data.

  • you're still not a smart person. go continue to keep getting your "stories" and "facts" from Anon. you're a tool. You have no real goals in life and this is why you continue to lose in life by posting comments. You need to re evaluate your life, where and how you slipped on your head to adopt wikipedia and other websites as fact.

  • You along with the other Anon tools that work as security guards and change the oil on my Mercedes at Jiffy Lube are just sad. I will no longer read your messages or reply to them. I know you have a huge void in your life and you try desperately to fill it with some sense of fulfillment by going around Youtube and participating in Loser activities. You were never nothing, your Mother should of swallowed you.

  • For Hubbard, the ends justified the means. If telling a "white lie" gets people into Scientology (the "desirable result"), then Scientologists should communicate an "acceptable truth".

"So PR becomes the technique of Communicating an acceptable truth -- and which will attain the desirable result." HCO Policy Letter of 13 August '70, L. Ron Hubbard "Handling truth is a touchy business ... Tell an acceptable truth." The Missing Ingredient, - L. Ron Hubbard, 13 August '70

  • Wow, you just prove my point, you're a sad individual. Here is a quote taken out of context, very famous for being taken out of context "'This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it!!!'" John Adams. Your type of stupid is very predictable. You sit around after you lousy 10 an hour job and criticize other people. You're nothing new.

  • You do not have the data to conclude what type of job I work. What is true for you is what you have observed, as per L. Ron Hubbard, and to make hasty conclusions like that will make L. Ron Hubbard frown upon you because you have not observed for yourself my wage. Alright, I am seeing you misapplying the Scientology tech.

David Miscavige is physically abusing his staff.

  • I have been done with you so many times, you're so dumb you really think that using big words or putting up a serious comment makes you smart or reflects your "wage". I can do this all day and I have done it with so many of your kind of people. I'm a master debater and a cunning linguist, all of these terms, are those you probably only would use to reflect your "wage"

  • You really should stop, you keep making yourself look really bad. You're another victim of the Internet. Fact of the matter is that winners like me, we don't make "wages" like losers like you that get paid by the hour.

  • Scientology systematically robs a person of his ability to question things. In

Scientology, they tell you, "If it's true for you, then it's true," resulting in objective reality becoming sort of fuzzy as it is based on whatever you believe. Over time, your beliefs are systematically supplanted with the beliefs that they instill in you through training drills.

This is exactly the sort of thinking you are demonstrating right now.

  • Clear Cognition: You mocked up your reactive mind.

OT8 Cognition: You mocked up the Space Opera, your past lives and your BT infestation.

The trigger for the OT8 cognition is the line "the Pilot says: I'm mocking this up". The desired End Phenomena is "Now that I know what I am not, I am ready to find out what I am".

LRH wanted you to be dazzled and keep forking over your money, as opposed to being outraged and demanding a full refund. This is the exit strategy of a "long con".

  • DORMANT BTs

You can wake up very dormant BTs and clusters that actually youve never hit on OT III never dreamed they existed.

Many are not visible in PT. These dormant ones are not squarely in the time stream, theyre down the track a bit. You shift your attention and pull them into PT, or your attention goes a bit out of PT and there they are. They are not precisely in the time stream. This solves the mystery of how an OT III can see none, get run on some NED and it kicks them in.

  • In January 2008, Jenna Miscavige Hill, niece of David Miscavige, spoke out about the policy's effect on her family. She revealed that, once her parents left and she remained in the group, she had been forbidden to answer the telephone in case she spoke to them and that her parents only restored occasional access to her by threatening legal action.

Disconnection is NOT a personal choice, contrary to what Scientology says.

  • Scientology is a confused concoction of crackpot, dangerously applied psychotherapy, oversimplified, idiotic and inapplicable rules and ideas and science-fiction drivel that is presented to its members (at the "advanced" levels) as profound spiritual truth.

  • Scientology abuses its members working them 70-130 hrs a wk for slave wages of 40 cents an hr -10 cents an hr if they're so unlucky to need "rehabilitation" in one of its gulags or concentration camps.

Children are abused as child slave labor & young women are either coaxed or coerced into getting abortions. It breaks up families & harasses its critics.

  • You are reapeating yourself because you have run out of material and can't make an honest self educated opinion or comment. So many other internet victims like you have repeated this over and over. Be sincere about your research on any subject, you just typed it in that google box and did a search.

  • What kind of a church records confessionals for purposes of blackmail? Judge Paul Breckenridge, in Church of Scientology of California vs. Gerald Armstrong, noted that Mary Sue Hubbard (plaintiff in that case) "authored the infamous order 'GO 121669' which directed culling of supposedly confidential P.C. [Preclear] files/folders for the purposes of internal security ... for purposes of intimidation and/or harassment".

  • Free enterprise will always win. that is one of the most beautiful parts of this country, i love it.

  • Home Depot has a program where they offer a group insurance for their employees. Hurricane katrina victims who are or were employees during that time got a generous check, no questions asked to help with their recovery.

  • Home Depot coming here will create jobs, especially for young people in and fresh out of high school. Boom business for the many restaurants here. Bring more shoppers around this area.

  • If your concern is taxes and you want to raise them for comm centers, get the money from the many handout programs we have. Don't be so quick to want to raise taxes again. Tax parents more, since they get more tax breaks and single people dont.

  • Actually, two single people filing jointly, get the same tax breaks married people filing jointly do.There is no difference. They even get to claim dependents,if they have them.

  • If you care about the children as much as you say you do it is a concern. I love children, I understand the amount of attention and care they need. By design, I don't and won't have any.

  • You can also address the many hand out programs encouraging single mothers in this state alone. Meanwhile, students that are struggling are ignored and left to fend for themselves. Again, what about them?

  • The things to address to help the children are the following: the stat that 1 out of every 2-3 marriages ends in divorce, the stat of young single babies pumping out those kids at a young age only to bring them out to a life of poverty, etc. Not Home Depot.

  • that is a concern but to this topic it is irrelevant. the topic at hand is whether or not Home Depot opens here and we need many other stores more than HD.

  • All the topics are relevant to your concerns. If you care about kids, again, organize your community to stop any moron from having crumb snatchers they should not be having.

  • WTF!!!What has this to do with Home Depot?

  • This whole idea that other people have to do certain things for other's children is absurd. There is already a ton of benefits given to people with kids. Leaving work early to take little Jimmy to the doctor, maternity leave, etc. Other people pick up the slack, where is the support for them?

  • OK, look, even if we don't get a community center, here is a list of things we need more than a Home Depot:

    -health food store

    -Wallmart

    -healthy restaurant

    -sports complex

but HD is not something we need right now.

  • Yes, you are right, Ralphs does not carry healthy food, neither does Albertsons. Putting better things in front of people will not magically control their power of choice.

  • yes, but the many people who do eat healthy (like myself) will really have a benefit plus since it will be close to the biggest elementary school in the community it will encourage kids to eat there because it is their closest option.

  • You're a 3rd generation Mexican, not Hispanic. Another under the illusion of inclusion.

  • no, he is a Hispanic. if he was Mexican it would require him to be from Mexico and he is not. i know because he was my football coach and he is a close family friend. why do you judge thing that you know nothing about?

  • There is no place called Hispanic or Hispania. I know my history buddy, don't try to correct me on this. If he is Salvi or Guatemalan, he should be specific. Maybe in your town or where you were raised this is not important.

  • what is wrong with including the entire Latin culture? either way, that is not what this video is concerned with.

  • Again, there is no Latin land or Latinica.

  • home depot is a horrible company- it actually is an example of the crap that life sometimes creates. - i hope the community didnt have the pleasure of having that horrible company built there- if not- just blow it up- seriously- bomb it.

  • You are being very irresponsible with making those comments about a company. YOu are just a negative person a critic.

  • excuse me sir but as a citizen of Sunland-Tujunga i would like to let you know that you do not understand that we have nothing for the children to do here so they are doing bad things; throwing rocks at cars, getting in fights, etc. and therefore we need a community center there, not a facility that will not bring anything positive. i say this because we do not need anything like Home Depot in our town.

  • Why should I care about your children? Why should a company have to base or expand their business around your kids. Your crumb crunchers are your responsibility.

  • wow, that was a very apathetic statement. our kids are OUR main concern and this is OUR town. do you own some kind of corporation or work for the government or something?

  • No, it is not an apathetic statement. It is my point of view. I'll admit, I don't know much about the reasons why this town is against HD.

  • look, we care about building a unified community here. that is what we are about. if our youth are running a muck then we will not be able to do that. that is the center of our community. we need a community center in that exact spot.

  • You make a good point, I do agree with you on that. Will the taxpayers agree with you though? Will they fork over the extra nickel for that?

  • the people in our community love their community. i think they would.

  • eboyd32, I have a question, please educate on this. Why is nothing done about the illegal workers in front of home depot?

  • you've got me there. my father cares about that a lot but i do not have a huge problem with it. the only objection i have is them not paying any tax dollars. that is the gov'ts problem though. it isn't my concern on this topic. outside of this video i will discuss it. i just think we have more important things to deal with. money should not be this country's main concern IMO. we should be worried about the people.

  • The issue is race on "migrant workers". The media, white media uses words labels like that to not call it what it is, slavery. Evolutionized slavery. Now they are called "cheap labor" too.

  • oh, i totally agree, but that is not my issue with Home Depot

  • (1)Slaves DO NOT GET PAID!!!That's the whole idea behind slavery.NOT PAYING THE WORKERS...If you get paid, even a little, you're NOT a slave. You can call it anything you want, even slavery, but working for hardly any money is NOT slavery...The Mexican Day Laborers have been here for over twenty years.So(2)It's not about Mexicans,it's about Home Depot.

  • Apathetic? Statistics man by any chance? when it comes to children this country does not do anything about the rampant stats of young single mothers. No matter how many centers you create, the actual problem is not being addressed.

  • we already have a Do It Center which is very similar and several family owned places that sell the same things as those stores do.

  • Osh is not a family owned business, it is a corp, correct?

  • so? i am not speaking of the Osh or Do It center. that is plenty right there and then we have 5 or 6 hardware stores and 3 or 4 other stores that sell similar things to Home Depot. Home Depot is out last concern right now.

  • Free Enterprise, capitalist nation. You are against it? Socialist maybe?

  • no, it is called caring for the youth that will some day run this nation. otherwise this coutry will be run into the ground.

  • I agree with you on that, sincerely I do. But those with no kids or running business are not your first point of contact on this, married couples with kids are, parents are.
