1984 was a genocide. For example. the Nanavati Commission Report itself says Congress workers were involved in the systematic killings of SIKHS in Nov '84. It also states the killings were organized & executed with the complicity of the police. Further, the green revolution, which had horrible impacts on farmers is a key contributing factor to their debt & suicide was implemented by the govt. When Sikhs had grievances, they ignored them and these policies continue to be in place until today.

May be get into entertainment industry, and then stand in elections after gaining popularity. There was no need to touch Hindu scriptures because no hindus took guns inside a temple. 1984 was a genocide. For example. the Nanavati Commission Report itself says Congress workers were involved in the systematic killings of SIKHS in Nov '84. It also states the killings were organized & executed with the complicity of the police. Further, the green revolution, which had horrible impacts on farmers is a key contributing factor to their debt & suicide was implemented by the govt. When Sikhs had grievances, they ignored them and these policies continue to be in place until today.

Many of the people who have posted below are unaware of the real facts and events. Thus, forming your opinions based on religion and reflecting your biases on YT will do no good. @IgniteTheLite despite protests by Sikhs, the Indian constitution was adopted which failes to even recognize the Sikhs as a separate religion instead Sikhs were categorised as Hindus and remained defined as such under Article 25 of the Constitution. Sikh marriages are not recognised in slave India. To get a marriage license in “secular India”, Sikhs have to sign a form entitled “The Hindu Marriage Act of 1951″

Sikh scriptures discusses concept of Karma, Dharma, Yoga, Ahimsa etc - same concepts which were first penned in the Vedas. Ppl need to stop hating, yea the farmer issue isn't only in Punjab, but this video is just reflecting punjab and the connection of the traumatic 1984. Just because Punjab is prosperous doesnt mean that farmers dont commit suicide. Its not about which place has the highest # of suicides. Stop hating and respect that people care for their religion and are raising awareness. This video is not against anyone.

It is a pan-India issue and for the record the most amount of suicides take place in Maharashtra. Punjab is one of India's most prosperous states which is run by a SIKH Chief Minister in a country where the PM is SIKH. For the record, the IMF head candidate was also a Sikh. The Indian govt. gives Punjab only half the water it needs to cultivate its land. On top of that, the low margins placed on other crops forces the farmers to use every square inch of their land to grow rice. Rice requires a lot of water and nutrients and the if the crops are not rotated, it will deplete the soil.

@prabhdial Open the Bhagvad Gita and Vedas and find me the word "Hindu" there. You can't because it doesn't exist. "Hinduism" was a term penned by the Brits describing anyone who follows INDIAN religions. Hindu is a mere geographical term. I am forced to use the word Hindu and Hinduism in order to avoid confusion but truth is we all stem from the same family tree with similar beliefs in Karma, Dharma, Ahimsa and the powers of Yoga and meditation.

Article 162 and 246 (3) of the Constitution gives full and exclusive legislative and executive powers to the states over water and hydel power. Agriculture and industry being entirely dependent on irrigation and hydel power, these have been kept purely state subjects in our Constitution and in other countries as well. There is hardly any state except Punjab, which does not enjoy full and exclusive power in relation to irrigation and hydel power of its own state rivers.
