@nemesis656 They are very difficult to train. The stronger the personality they have, the more stubborn they are. I rescued mine from the shelter in Seattle, WA over 8 years ago, and she is as stubborn today as the day that I got her. They are very neat and clean animals and very easy to house break, after that it depends on if you can be the "pack leader" for them. The stronger your personality is, the easier it is to get them to mind your commands.
Actually "yôshi" means a proton in Japanese, but "yoshi" is indeed said when something goes right. It's like.. when you say "alright!" when you succeed in something.
Thank you for letting me know! I now know the true meaning of the word "yoshi." Well, my Yoshi is truly alright! He is such a good boy, and mischievous at the same time. LOL!
LOL, cute video! My two shibas are the same way with plush toys... they're not finished until its been thoroughly beaten/dismembered/disemboweled, hehe
Lol my golden retriever/ border collie mix does the sameeee thing with his toys!!! It's interesting but kind of scary to watch, isn't it?? Lol. Like, OMG, my dog's a killer!! xP
My shiba loves to do this, last christmas I got her a teddy bear thats as big as she is & she tries to do it with that too. Its so cute lol x

@nemesis656 it depends on they're personality, the competitive ones are usually harder to train then other dogs.

My shiba does this while running around. If she does it too much, she gets disoriented, takes her a couple a seconds to remember where she is. Hah

This Shiba Inu is clearly a great ninja warrior. Give him some nunchucks and send him at your foes!

We call this "death shake" at our house :) Fortunately we haven't had the experience of our dog doing it with anything living

I saw my HUGE Great Pyrenees do this with a coyote cub....that coyote didn't have a chance. It's like a freight train playing chicken with a handcar.

My Yoshi, a Shiba Inu, does exactly the same to his bear toy! It is adorable!

no way, your Shiba's name is Yoshi, too?? :D lol awesome, that's my Shiba's name.
moldypanda 2 years ago
Yes, it seems to be a popular name for a Shiba. It means "good" in Japanese; and since Shiba is Japanese, it seemed fitting for him.
